*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

On Wednesday evening we'll enable and extra STM2 RF route into Pretoria.

Thanks Ronald.

I know there can be network congestion and signal issues but it is starting to get really bad (I am posting this from my phone as the connection died......).

Over the space of about 2 months the speed has dropped from 2+Mbps during the day and during storms (I have posted Speedtest results to prove this in other threads) to wildly fluctuating from less than dialup speeds to 1.5Mbps in the space of an hour.

I used to rave about the 2Mb modem as it rocked day in and day out with no issues at all, but now with firmware stories regarding the 2Mb modem and such it tells me something needs to checked out thoroughly with regards to what the deep routed issue is.

I think Ronald and Melanie must be put in charge of iBurst so that these issues can be resolved as they seems to be the only ones that actually care about iBurst customers.

Apologies for the problem, the national backbone carrier has experienced a fibre fault.

I'd have to lookup the mappings for 4 & 9 tomorrow but the load 3 is high. Load can be 1, 2 or 3.

Posting from my phone again.

Last night's storm must have klapped a tower or something as I have really bad signal and cannot connect.

Webservice usually shows Aligned BSCC 19 with 100% signal, now it fluctuates between BSCC 5, 12 & 18 and 20% or less signal.
