*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Terrible tonight, I don't think I will be able to download anything, after midnight.

OK...I've been very patient during and after the story with Icasa, but this is taking way too long now..
Problems come and go and that is NOT what I pay for every month!
I do not have access to international sites and torrents do not download at all!
I do understand that as an ISP you can have problems regarding to delivering services to your customers that are out of your control, but it happens way too often now..
I can not rely on my internet connection, and that is not what we signed for!
Iburst, please advise how I can get out of this contract with, because I rather pay a bit more somewhere else, than putting up with this nonsense every day again..

Cant wait for my contract to end. The telkom exchange close my house now supports up to 40mb.

You guys should see the torrent of complaints on their Facebook page. A lot of people are complaining about the European game servers being blocked while the US servers are open (and of course being able to connect via other ISPs). iBurst (iWorst) is going further and further up the excrement creek without a paddle!

Quite a few emails I need to send tonight, so I'm going to be a tad miffed if once again their outgoing server refuses to send stuff. Argh, one of these days I'll get off my butt and move ISPs...

And now it's 'access denied' errors everywhere, including MyBB. Another bill iBurst hasn't been paying?

Hi Psychopompous.

We did have an international browsing issue where you would get "access denied" when opening a website.
it has been resolved could you please restart all devices and test it should work.

Regards

Error still appearing despite the Iburst rep reporting otherwise, just tested facebook now.

The problem comes from their 'transparent proxy'. If you look at the source html for the Access Denied error you will find this at the bottom:

International browsing issues as reported by Iburst is thus yet another lie, their access control lists on the proxy is probably getting hacked.

BTW, all internet access via Iburst goes through these 'transparent proxies' for all sites the IBurst customers visit and is logged .. comforting thought hey?

Not getting these access denied errors, but I get constant issues downloading my XBox dlx :( Commander Sheppard needs more missions to play!

From their facebook page.

On Monday we experienced another undersea cable fault which has attributed to the problems that some of our customers are currently experiencing. We have in the interim acquired additional capacity that will help restore functionality as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience as we work on this.
