Hi

I’m experiencing similar problems. I’m situated in Northcliff Ext 21 Jhb. I’m connecting to the waterval tower situated on the top of Greymont. I cannot seem to use skype any time of the day. When I’m home trying to make calls, usually between 6 and 9 at night my connection is to slow for VOIP. ( I tried making calls on 1st 2nd an 3rd this month)

I installed an external i-burst antenna on my roof, although I had very good signal. This didn’t seem to make any difference.

Is there a problem with the waterval tower, maybe overloaded?

Is there anything I can do to improve my signal, ping so that I can make calls via VOIP.

Regards
Wolter Bijker

What type of modem do you have?

I've been getting very poor speeds recently too.

Its like i've been shaped completely. Pings arent bad. But speeds are horrible.

what sort of pings to where are not bad?

In WoW, my ping is now around 650ms. This is about 150ms beyond being playable for me personally. I've noticed a consistent degradation in performance of my iBurst connection since the MTN upgrade.

Iburst, any input on reasons for the lower pings and overal lower performance?

Please help out my updating your info and I'll be able to help faster. Goto my settings, edit profile and update the location information, e.g. Western Cape, Gauteng, KZN, etc.

CINX

After much blood, sweat and tears we finally have a connection going into CINX. Local peers should start popping up during the next few days and weeks with the obvious exception of those non-cooperative big players who refuse to peer (you know who they are).

OMG what is going on? Sooo many disconnects and speed test is giving me 0,2mbps. I'm in the Sunninhill area in Jhb. Downloads are going at 3KB/sec.
Anybody know whats going on? The iBurst call center is absolutely no help today.

1118ms here to London, and 0.17mb download speeds.

I'd be frustrated but this is such a joke I'm laughing out loud....IBURST...what the hell :wtf: over 2 weeks of crappy service - is it possible to get a refund?

Whats wrong this time?

Edit: Connecting from Cape Town, Gardens

Edit: A trace for you
