*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Fibre fault 19th February

International west coast route was impacted by a fibre break at Megawatt Park. The cable is being repaired and all traffic is using the east coast redundant path.

During a break some transits take a while to converge to the new route. Apologies for the inconvenience.
 
Finally i can log in,but being able to log in doesn't help at all if the lag is insanely high as is the norm.Sort the port issue out once and for all Iburst,seriously can't be that hard.
 
Not fixed. Still can't do anything usefull with my iBurst connection
 
Not touching the Telkom network not seeming entirely smart... these fibre breaks are a serious pain in the arse!
 
How often is it normal for this to happen? Every day? I don't think so. I am tired of the excuses, I-Burst is going from bad to worse every day. I used to be able to download 120 Kbps now I get 40 - 60 max for the last month or so. It is a joke. I keep getting disconnected from Guild Wars in the middle of crucial quests... WTF!!!!

Sites (local/international) opens now several seconds later times out wait a while try again then fine. Haven't had any problems in past hour or so but if it happens again will do more tests...

And confirmed signal fine.
 
Great stuff.... AGAIN, I can't download anything, all my downloads just time out from 4shared.com and furk.net?!!?!??!?! I am considering laying a serious complaint with the ombudsmann, this is a joke, I am paying for internet which I can NOT use!
 
I CAN NOT connect to Guild Wars now either and Facebook website is also just timing out!!!!!!!
 
all international traffic ceased only local content is accessible...
wow i remeberred aardvark. haven't use this site in a few years
 
Same here - seemed to login fine, and initially everything looked normal; ten to twenty minutes later, I can access *some* local sites, nothing international: it's all timeouts and DNS failures. Pings either time out or "could not find host".
 
This is actually a joke now, every friggin' day international access goes down, this is not acceptable! Especially on weekends!!!!
 
Yip, it's foobared in the wazzoo...

I actually have more bandwidth than i can use this month... mainly due to outages and slowness.
