Having an iBurst related issue.

I have a decent-ish connection from my old desktop modem, but I am struggling with https requests which just time out. Open the twitter page no problem, fill in my log in and then https://twitter.com times out.

Same with https://www.facebook.com and https://dropbox.com and https://lastpass.com among a myriad others.

I have emailed iBurst yesterday - no response, tweeted them an hour and a half ago, no response.

Any other users in the CPT/Gordonsbay area having an issue with https specifically? The ONLY https site that works for me atm is gmail.

I even sent them a host lookup to prove that I can resolve the hosts in question and a tracepath showing the timeouts.

Any iBurst people on the forum who can help or at least say "Yes we have an issue in CPT area" since the website does not show anything.

Hi there, im from Oranjezicht CapeTown, and reception is excerlant 100%, not sure if the packages
effect your speed but im on uncapped+.

Welp, still no response from iBurst, I logged into my iBurst account and logged a support request there as well. No response at all.

I have discovered that imap to our SA hosted mailserver times out as well, as well as having added https://launchpad.net to the list of sites that simply dies.

Does iBurst have any interest in providing any customer support at all?

I set up a TOR proxy on my laptop and that took care of the https issue. So far no joy on the imap issue, and adding PPA's fails as well...

I will have to force my email through the proxy as well.

Does anyone know if using a TOR proxy is against the iBurst TOS?

I'll try and give them a ring tomorrow, we are not really near a landline during business hours... guess I'll try tech support after hours.

Please PM me your gps co-ords and UTID and I'll investigate.

There seems to be issues when downloading from torrents, seems a variety of ports are now closed

There are no blocked ports. During midnight to 8am there are no speed restrictions while during the other hours there are session and speed restrictions.

This was after midnight, but on Tuesday it seemed to resolve itself.

le sigh

It has now taken me aprox. 2 hours to look online if there are any known current issues and try and post this message.

Since yesterday afternoon, my data throughput is close to non-existent.

Everything seems to time-out halfway through the load of a page.

Ping seems relatively fine:

Its back again.

I always find it interesting that calling the call-centre they say that they are aware of the issue, a lot of people are complaining, but the incidents never appear on the incident reports on the website.
