Faxing or e-mailing proof of payment to them has no effect because they will wait until the transfer shows on their account. In my chase the item were sent via the post office and they still wasted another three days before posting it resulting in a delivery time of more than a week. I am afraid that is my experience with all the local establishments that I have done business with. The reasons for this: the South African business attitude towards their clients, the level of crime prevents them from believing even a proof of payment sent by a Bank and the fact that none of them are wholesalers and do not keep any stock. At the same time I ordered from Rebeltech I ordered some engine parts from Canada on a Sunday and I had the parts in hand on the next Friday. Oversees firms work seven days a week , will reply to any inquiries within 24 hours, If they don’t have stock they will inform you and inform you when the get stock , you don’t have to place your order before they have the item. Lets face it If it were not for the weak Rand, our corrupt Post office and expensive freight costs none of us would waste our time with local on-line companies. But this is Africa so things must take longer and cost more.
