Rebeltech poor service

They wanted me to pay the shipping for a flash disk that was DOA (to get it back to them). That was the last time I used them.

also all local Online stores have the same policy even the international ones , that is why i prefer retail stores or wholesalers

Never had any problem with Rebeltech. My experiences has been that they're fast, efficient and well priced with the only down side being EFT.

The same thing happened to me early last year when I ordered 2 of the same mice from them and the one was faulty (The power switch was very difficult to turn on/off). They made me send it back to them at my expense and arrangement and then insisted that there was no fault with the mouse and the switch was was in the acceptable range. It took a week of arguing with them to get a refund and above that they charged a 10% "handling fee". That was the last time I used them.

Compare the above to Wootware - I ordered a motherboard from them and only realised afterwards that it wouldn't suit my needs, they picked the board up from me at their expense and refunded me the full amount I had initially paid (Excl. the initial shipping cost which is fair) no questions asked, no 10% handling fee nonsense.

Prophecy paid for shipped 1.5 years after I had bought my GPU when I RMA'd it.

I had a purchase through Wootware in complete silence.

Ordered, paid, received communication, received delivery. Installed the device, it worked and that was it. Silence from my end. No hassle at all. Actually the first time I ever had such an experience from any S.A. online store :) First purchase though, won't be my last.

I have also ordered from Wootware and had a very pleasant experience, only problem is they are 1600kms away so it does add extra waiting time.. but please, this thread is about Rebeltech, not Wootware.

That is exactly what my first Rebeltech experience was like... and a couple after that. I am not sure what changed. The last part of last year and the first part of this year, things went downhill fast. Even contacting Rune directly made no difference. Between himself and whomever it was/is assisting him, neither could get their stories to match. The assistant would tell you one thing, Rune something completely different and 3 weeks later, you find that the real situation was neither of the two?!?

See Rebeltech's policy on returns (RMA's)

Not exactly what they were prepared to do after I had received a faulty Graphics Card. I had to pay courier costs to get the card to them, even thogh I only had the card a week or two.
