Returning my Takealot order - An awesome experience

I dont understand. This is the internet. You guys realize its powered by advertising right? Why take part in a thread to bitch about the thread? Why not just save yourself the effort and move along to the stuff that interests you?
 
i too was impressed with take alots return policies and procedures when i used it. no complaints from me.

Like most things in the world, whatever it is it can be done good and amicably, which Mybb used to do very much, but as its not as profitable its slowly falling away.

Until last week I enjoyed a fine experience on this forum. For almost a year I had enjoyed pure bliss on Mybroadband, I saw nothing, just interesting posts.
Then they realised that most of us used the ignore user feature to block the peddlers of the click bait so they then decided to add them into a staff group that cannot be put on ignore.
And voila, now when you click "new posts" the shilling and click-bait is in your face and the outrageous article titles evoke reactions. They know how to play us and now they're doing all they can to get our reaction.
Time to leave methinks.

The next frontier will likely be what they do overseas... ads inserted in between the posts, the ads appear to be responses that are part of the thread.
This is why I am looking for a nice Discord because I am sick of this shyte. Its one thing to make money but don't try and f**k me for it...

Hmmm, create a thread, @ RPM in it and lets see if they'll allow us to exclude, lest we employ adblock.

No thank you, I don't want a ban. Also, there is such a thread already, he doesn't care anyhoo...
While adblock does work for the crappy ads, it doesn't work for the shills/paid for articles.
The best way forward is to just move on and gtfo.
 

Takealot complaint

They're treading a dangerous path, customer service is what built them and it can just as easily break them if they don't address this. They don't care... like many others (Afrihost comes to mind). Too much gravy, delicious gravy in the CEO's trough at the moment...

No issues for me thus far with regard to returns to Takealot. The refund/credit/ replacement has always been done in a timely manner.

Not pertaining to this thread but it would be a totally different story if you were to ask me with regard to RARU. lol

I think you can add the username to adblock, it'll then just be blank where their posts are meant to go
 
Currently fighting with Takealot to take back a fridge. Fridge is damaged - various issues. Am wondering if the fridge was previously returned. And the fight is to get them to collect it and resend a new fridge. And apparently its my problem to re-package the fridge or they won't pick it up? And if it gets further damaged in transit, its my fault if the courier damages it further?

I'm at a loss for words.

I understand your frustration and completely agree that no-one should visit a site which they do not enjoy. It is counter-productive and will just frustrate you further.

It is always sad to see a member go, but I also understand that we cannot satisfy everyone. We hope you find a better forum and tech news website to serve your needs.
