Rocketnet - feedback?

Is Vumatel dropping the 4/1 line and upgrading everybody to 10/2 on March 1 ? I see Rocketnet does not offer 4/1 anymore already on the Vumatel site. Would our monthly fee stay the same in this scenario ?

They have already updated my line speed to 10/2. My invoice is still the same, but assume this will be changed from the next billing cycle onwards. I see the pricing is now R549. 2.5x the speed and just like R94 a month more. The new 10/10 lines are also looking very tempting.

Where we lead other follows, keep your eyes out on all other ISP, we are almost certain that an activation fee will be introduced at some stage by all ISP’s

We have a very open policy with our clients and customers and it’s as follows. Pay an activation fee and get connectivity, should you have an issue please notify us and we will log a ticket which is resolved within the SLA: https://www.rocketnet.co.za/fibre-network-slas/

Should you not wish to pay an activation fee then please feel free to shop around, but negative post about RocketNet as an ISP won’t get the activation fee wavered.

Judging from your last comment it seems like your current ISP has let you down ?

If so kindly send an E-mail to [email protected] and well offer advise to you free of charge.

Kind
Wow... is this customer service? A company representative on a public thread should really be thought how to converse with potential clients especially in a flooded market such as this. I for one could have been one of thos potential clients... but after a response like that I would wonder what kind of response I could get after you have my 1.5k and know it's hard for me to walk away... food for though

dont mind the free speed upgrade, and happy to pay a bit extra for it. but wont appreciate a price hike without any communication. Not how one does business.

Yup would have appreciated a blanket email to customers about the increase. I knew it was coming as Im active on the forums, but would have been pissed if it just showed up out of nowhere.

Ignoring questions posed doesn't really qualify as 'taking sh**' in my opinion. There's still unanswered questions.

Seems people are missing the point completely. which, I guess, is to be expected. Just plain silly that people think asking questions that are relevant is from jealousy. That's just ludicrous.

Thats why I chose to ignore the post and keep my opinions to myself..moving on..

Starting to agree with your tactic. sheep mentality at play it seems and people are just way too comfortable and ignorant in their little bubbles and prefer not challenging the status quo.

Just pure idiocy though when people would rather choose to just accept the crap they get handed as opposed to delving a bit deeper to learn more about why the crap they're getting handed is so......crap

Whats annoying is Vuma has not said anything - Vuma Rep i spoke insists they not and ISP are saying its Vuma

Seems like people are jealous !

What are we jealous about?

Where we lead other follows

@Ronald-RocketNet I get the monthly charge. I understand the installation fee. But for the love of me I cannot get my head around the activation fee. Please explain to us why this is needed and what it is used for. This is a simple question and we would appreciate it if we could get a simple and honest answer from yourself.

Notwithstanding this clause

7.6. If you terminate the Agreement (or Rocketnet terminates the Agreement due to your breach of the Agreement), you will be liable to RocketNet;

7.6.1. during the first six months from the Billing Start Date,
7.6.1.1. an amount of R1,500; and
7.6.1.2. for the full value of the Service Equipment. You may return the Service Equipment (at your cost) as a set-off against your liability for the Service Equipment; and

Just ridiculous. it's actually laughable. Bound for 6 months - in this day and age and taking in to consideration the competitive nature of the service- month to month and no tie-ins should be the norm with no penalties.

Good day Naeem

We can assure you that communication of price increase/implementation will be sent out shortly.

We will not increase pricing without notifying our clients.

Kind regards.

We can confirm that a notification will be sent shortly and change will only take effect as of the 01.03.2019

We accept all questions asked and try and respond to it the best we can. I can confirm that we will not be sharing any finical issue on this forum and should you require a detailed response for the reason we have decided to introduce/implement an activation fee then kindly send an E-mail to [email protected]

Kind regards
