Router Battery Backup

It's exactly the same, just with a different company logo on.
Cool thanks, I got one of each. Small one for security camera, bigger one for the fibre ONT and router. Easily lasted a load shedding session. Will run the devices on battery today, see how long they last.

Let me know how it goes. If you can, post pictures of the back of the 2 UPSes. I want to see if the ports are the same. Thanks

Hi, I've just had my fibre connected and need to power a Huawei HG8240H5 ONT (12v 2A) in addition to my Huawei WS5200 router (12v 1A). Will an Ultralan micro ups 30W be sufficient to power this?

Yes it will... just make sure each device is getting the right Amps

Does that really matter?
Sure. But in the case of the ultralan, if I have the correct one below, it should not matter.

If the UPS can deliver 30W, 30/12v=2.5A should be more than enough to power both devices from the single output port. The ONT will never in its life draw 2A. I also suspect that it will sustain the devices in question for a full loadshedding stint, without any issues.

Yes it will, but the question is, how long? How long do you want it to last? An hour? 3? 6?
Here's a handy link which helps you figure out what to get.

Thanks I'll check out the link. I was hoping for 3 hours runtime.

You will probably get 3 hours, no problem. Easiest way to tell, is to just test it. The proper way is to take the battery rating, not the one printed on the outside of the retail box, but rather the one on the batteries itself, and calculate it from there.

That's the one. Cool, if it suffices for the 2-3 hrs of loadshedding then it will be fine

Appreciate the advice
