What capacity is the li-ion batteries?
Do you have a pic of the setup?
Can we collect in CPT? :)

Sure some electronics have been designed to accept a wider range, voltage wise, but I have also seen my fair share of magic smoke. A 9V device running from a 5V source is one thing, but the other way around tends to cause extra heat, and that heat tends to lead to failure.
I'd imagine it might be the other way around - more amps = more heat... (but most wall-wart PSU's can't give too many amps!)

Now if only I could find a good 19.5V PSU (dell laptop) that I could load a bunch of 18650 Li-ions to... (was hoping Geezu could get close); but at some point you just start to realise you may as well invest in a real UPS!

Thinking of getting this powerbank with 2 usb to dc cables to power my router and ONT. Will it work?
I've read that some people experience the PB turning off because the devices do not draw enough current, anyone experience this?
It works out cheaper than buying a mini ups for R800+. Thoughts?

That only pushes out 5v. You'll need 12v

32 000? Huh. That is the MN4, so 2200*4 = 8800? Not that any of the banks make it clear if the 8800 is taken at 3.7/5/12v.

Quite expensive. Gizzu seems cheaper?

You will need to get step-up cables (not just plain USB to DC adapter cables), or get a voltage booster, since not all devices will run just fine on 5V. In that sense, it will work yes. Yes, some of your Romoss devices will not turn on, or turn off if you do not have enough current draw, but I do not think 5V boosted to run two devices, will trigger this. Personally I would go for the sense range, as these are guaranteed to work on lower loads and, as an added bonus, turn themselves on when detecting load. This helps quite a bit in a UPS type of setup, since you do not need to press anything to get the process going.

Note that your powerbank might be able to put out 2A, at 5V, but that quickly turns into 1A at 12V with a booster -might not be enough for your setup. Then you need to get two... and by then you might as well get a Gizzu or something similar.

Also note that these power banks were never intended to be run in this fashion, so there are fringe events that can cause some unforeseen issues that you never thought about. E.g. in a permanent setup, I have found that the Romoss powerbank might lose power for a second (enough to restart your devices) when load shedding kicks in and again when eskom power returns. Not a train smash. There also seems to be a limit to the amount of power the powerbank can deliver, especially while also being charged simultaneously. This can be problematic. Etc etc etc.

The output power is only 17W.

Post pics please.
Do you solder or spot-weld your batteries?
More importantly, are they fused?
Do you use a BMS?
Will you do custom battery pack sizes?

Thanks

I think that's intentional.
Yes that's the new fashion it seems. Quote capacity in Watt hours. Makes it look better. (Even though that's technically the more correct unit, it means people end up comparing apples with oranges).

Anyone know where I can find the DC-plugs (to fit a standard Huawei LTE router)?
Probably Communica, Mantech, or Yebo Electronics, that would be my go-to for CPT.

Just cobbled together a 1m lead to extend one leg of the Gizzu's 2.5mm DC splitter - had to use a 2.1mm DC plug for the Vumatel Raycore ONT.
