Router Battery Backup

Eish so my ONT is 12V and router is 19V. So I will need to get a 12V UPS and then hack one of the lines from 12 to 19V. But if UPS is rated at 5 hours for 12V and one of the lines is now 19V it probably won't last for 2.5 hours anymore?
You do get mini UPSes with 19v output AFAIK. Might be worth looking into

My router has a 19V - 3,42A power adapter :cautious:
Ive bought these type before a few times, they're awesome as you can see by pressing a button your input voltage or your output voltage
You just dial a pot with a small screwdriver

Communica here in Paarden Eiland sells them around 60 bux

I often buy these from Netram near Canal Walk as well

So you can put in 12volts and dial the out[put until you get 19v and then boom, it is ready to use.

Will something like the ratel 8100/860p ,will be able to power an intel nuc (100W TDP)?

Looking for some advice in this area.
I want to power my Edgerouter X and unifi Ap.
Both running of a single 24v power supply,
My ont which is 9v and potentially a raspberry pi.
I have a 1200va/600w ups that I replaced the batteries in, but they don't hold any charge anymore.
I saw some lithium ion ones for around R1000 each and I would need 2.
Would that be the best alternative due to all the different voltages.
Just seems so inefficient due to all the conversion.
Any other solutions?

Assuming those 24V routers are PoE something like this could work.

Looks like it might work for me.
How long does it last for roughly
That would depend on the load. I used to run my B618 router together with the home alarm and a 2 hour LS shift would use about a quarter of the capacity (according to the bars on the front panel). Being lithium batteries, it charges back up again nice and quickly.

EDIT: Doing the rough math quickly, it's a 65Wh battery (17.6Ah at 3.7V). Your devices probably use less than 20W combined, so you should get at least 3 hours out of the UPS.

Well, the user manual calls it a Ratel too.

Anyone know where I can find a DC adapter/converter for my laptop?

It’s the narrower Dell power types found in the XPS9560 etc.

Geewiz will likely have. You just need to figure out what size DC plug it has.

Got a pic?

Not really router backup - but is anyone powering a POE switch off a mini DC UPS? I have a POE switch that is powering 2 APs and another switch - when i look at the POE usage on the switch it is reporting approx 12W. What device could i use for that? Device rated power Input: 54V 1A
