Router Battery Backup

Thanks, Wifi will have to do for time being then.
To run your switch. perhaps get a small UPS (600VA or so) and replace the battry inside with a lithium drop in replacement. (depending on how much power your switch needs, model?)

 Whirrrr pop has been averted
Reminds me,once I was busy changing phones to a nifty cordless phone I had lying around (Telkom days)
Plugged in the PSU
Whirrrrrrr.......Pop
It went and some smoke appeared

Turns out there was another PSU in the cupboard with the same barrel connector. I had plugged in a 12v supply instead of the 5v it wanted

It's this one, oddly the spec says "External Power Adapter(Output: 9VDC/0.6A)" but mine doesn't have an external power adapter

May be cheaper to just get a small switch like this ( Power Adapter (5V0.6A) instead.

I have one of these. It does ONT and two routers way over 4 hours.

Where can I get a cable with DC-DC?

I want to use the 19v output to run a laptop

I bought a couple of these.Great value for the price. Some bad reviews, not sure if they connected correctly.
I had an outage last week and my fibre lasted 10 hours. My son had a outage a while ago and his Rain router lasted 13 hours.

Looks interesting ...

BTW, for those who keep asking - 'will this unit power my devices, here are the specs"...
Multiply the V by the A for each device to give you watts used.
Add all the watts together.
Look at the total watts of the "ups" thing you want to buy.
(Watt Hours, if given, means a max of x watts for 1 hour).

Eg.
A router shows 12V, 1.2A = 14,4 Watts power usage.
If your backup device is 60Wh, then it'll power that router for about 4 hours if nothing else is on it. (Probably longer, as that'll be max usage)

I take it that it does not include the battery?
