Its a pretty poor strategy when you aren't participating in any by-elections in what would be your "heartland" of support given how amazing the Mayor is you know.

Don't you think we have to wait for the outcome of the elections to declare parties strategies goox or poor? I mean when you say it's poor what exactly is that assertion based on?

Ummmm have you heard of continuously campaigning and being front and center with your voters. Not competing in by-elections limits those opportunities.

As a NewNP/GLM adherent you should be fully in tune with how this whole thing works Champy, I'm disappointed that you're asking retarded questions like this.

And to you continously campaigning strictly means you must take part in by elections otherwise you are not doing it right?

They have been busy growing their party all over the country by launching new branches, why is a by election the only way to be at the front and centre of the voters?

Especially since some of those by elections are 16% turnout affairs? Maybe their branches have a better turnout.

The panic is starting a loan of USD 150 BILLION from the World Bank to prop up their cesspool. Their crimes against SA is a shocking testament to their 37 years of corruption and theft.

Yeah every party does that, but it gets problematic when you aren't contesting ANY wards in by-elections it seems (I can't remember seeing ASA contesting any in the last year or so)

Indicates that the ASA knows they're toast basically and need to prolong the death spiral for as long as possible.

It's not even about winning wards - they've declined to participate in wards where they came 2nd. How can you grow your party when you don't even compete in municipalities where they are strongest?

Funny thing is that the DA has been contesting by elections ever since they were invented, but they are still a 20% party.

Everyone has their way, stick to celebrating the DA's surge in a 16% turnout by election and allow Mashaba to cook, right?
