Hogwash! The DA is a pure socialist party and very far to the left. They are very happy to throw the middleclass under the bus for their "pro poor" policies. They enforce equality by punishing and taking from the middleclass and rich. Comparing this to Germany is just more obvious of their lie. Countries in Europe have socialism only for very small minorities of people. Just another DA socialist lie.

What guy? Who is rage replying? I`m just stating facts, the DA is just another socialist scumbag party. They were useless in Tshwane, fixed f0kk0l. They wrecked a world heritage site, Knysna. And now the socialist bubble is starting to burst in CPT. The DA is perfectly suited to govern alongside the ANC.

P.S. Can you guess who in Germany invented the concept of "social market economy", which has led Germany to where it is today? I'll give you two guesses.

Part of that budget could go towards a commission to find out where all the money is going. I mean, the bottom line here is corruption. An argument could be made for taking advantage of a situation where corruption is the root issue, aka enabling. Because it looks an awful lot like enabling to me.

Stop deflecting. Nothing in SA can be compared to be similar to Germany. The DA is a 100% pure socialist scumbag party. Wealth distribution is extreme socialism, it will never work in SA where the poor is the majority by far. Just more DA lies and grandstanding. They will take from the middleclass until all are equally poor, except for them, the socialist political elite, who hikes their own salaries to whatever they feel like they deserve. And it is now starting to unravel in the Cape, the same way it already unraveled in Knysna. FVCK the DA!

What number would be the sweet spot. GHL is getting annihilated from one side, and squeezed from the other, on redistributive budget / squeezing the "rich". What number would you say (or to be anyone's opinion) on the right percentage of spend in those areas.

Personally, I am pretty gatvol of hearing that the "rich" should pay ever more. Because it gets more punitive every year, with even more guilt laid on top. It's becoming unsustainable, and they' re telling the "rich" that it's their fault. And the real clincher is that it's stated as the "rich" but increasingly includes the decidely middle class more every passing year.

You could argue that it is less about the percentage and more about what gets done.

But to play along, anywhere between 50% and the current 75%. And it seems to me the budget focuses more on fixing and improving the infrastructure, especially in townships (you know, WHAT ABOUT KHAYELITSHA and so on).

Honestly, I don't mind if the townships are prioritised a bit more by local governments. But the rest of the municipality shouldn't be ignored at the same time. (Which, at least in CPT's case, isn't the situation).

The way I understand it is that the okes with multi-million rand estates and incomes in the rich areas like Clifton, etc are the ones GHL is talking about. Not the middle class.
