SA Post Office Strike

Damn parcel is still stuck at the CapeMail Hub. Work is so scarce these days for skilled workers let alone unskilled workers. Fire the rabble and hire new rabble. Rinse and repeat.

You can't do that, because of human rights. And of course because the trade unions are too powerful. This country is going down and each year will be worse than the next. Unless the whole world does what SA is doing, that's gonna happen.
 
Has anyone managed to pick up mail from JHB INT MAIL CENTRE (HUB) in this week? Im phoning them but no one is answering, I could pitch up there but my parcel is still stuck at customs according to them.

Wife going there tomorrow without any real purpose. Last time waited 3 hours for nada, going to see if the ****er that made her wait is there and to see what is what.

Please keep me posted. I could try a stint at waiting as well, but it will probably only be next week if I have to wait that long.

In the same boat as you. At least someone at the PO responded to my email to confirm this.

Answering a phone is work for one of the SAPO minions, they not doing work.

I assume updating facebook saying we have closed all branches is what some R5 mil a month consultant is doing.
 
SAPO sucks. I can't get my parcel because of those morons :twisted:


Any idea when it will be over?
 
Guess the upside to all of this is that they can't send back uncollected parcels after 3 weeks. :p
 
Has anyone asked if they can collect from JHB INT Customs ?
I have a rather pricey package coming with EMS and I don't want to lose it in the postage system so I would rather drive there pay and collect.
 
Would also like to collect an item from that INT HUB.

Couldn't care less if they want to work or not, just want to know if I can go there and pick my stuff up?
 
I am also waiting for an expensive parcel, problem is that a lot of theft takes place during these strikes.

I guess that their controls collapse during such periods.

I did it about 4 years ago and am hoping its still the case hopefully someone can give it a go. I assume my parcel is still a few days away from JHB but if I have success I will let you guys know.

Thats my worry never mind that its fragile and likely to be thrown on a big pile. I should have never believed them when they said the strike is nearly over and waited a bit longer.
 
Capemail is supposed to be functioning but at reduced capacity. Still the tracker shows no updates, when it works that is.
