Agreed!

The more reviews I'm reading about the Note 3, the more convinced I am that this will be crowned best phone of 2013.

Three UK will start offering the Note 3 on 16 September, so I reckon our service providers will not be too far behind.

Canada is getting it on the 4th of October.*

Let's say October to be safe. ;)

*The Gear watch is launching simultaneously with the Note 3.

Eish...one more month...waited for S4...then S4 mini...did not have courage to upgrade; waited for rumor-mill on Note 3, and I must say, I am glad I did not get S4.

Will wait...

Another interesting thing to note (excuse the pun!), is that the Note 3 uses a USB 3.0 Micro B connection (SuperSpeed USB) for charging/data transfers.

This is what draws me the most to the Note. I am perfectly happy with my S4 but USB 3 is a game changer.

Nope, just that there are also articles claiming it will be Pentile. Still not sure which ones to believe.

With 386 ppi, you won't be able to see it.

Have you got a link to the site/s claiming it's pentile?

Looks like a great phone. They actually introduced some useful new multitasking features as well.

What... No ways!!!

Buy buy!

This is also something that caught my eye. I hope it improves the charging speeds. It take me for fcking ever to charge my SII!

USB technology has nothing to do with charging speeds.

What you need is a more powerful charger - a 1.5A or 2A charger.

It does, you've just said it yourself! When plugged into a pc, USB 3 will affect charging speeds, as it provides more power than USB 2.

I'm not sure if it will give power, that's why I said I hoped it would! I have USB 3 HDD's, the transfer rate is of course much higher, would make sense then that it would be able to handle a little more current.

I'm talking about a dedicated charger. PC USB ports only provide a couple of mA. 500mA to 1A max.

Yeah I know, but most phones charge through the micro USB port (with the dedicated charger). So, will the improved USB port be able to provide more amps?

Only if you are connecting it to a USB 3.0 port, and even then, it will be a minimal increase, if any...

I am curious to see if the USB 3.0 data rate capabilities will be taken advantage of on this device.

I'm sure it will. Otherwise what is the point of adding it?

USB2 spec doesn't provide sufficient power, but USB3 does, so it should charge at the full speed Samsung designed it to be charged at.

If the electricity flows faster wouldn't it charge faster... :D

Ok serious now, I think many people get confused regarding this.

Haha, no. It's just better data encoding. Electricity or electromagnetic 'speed' is fairly constant.

No it won't. The Samsung wall charger provided in the box is 2.0A. USB2.0 can provide a max of 0.5A, while USB3.0 can provide a max of 0.9A.

It's Samsung- could be a marketing ploy.

The transfer speed is one thing, but the actual read/write speeds from the onboard NAND storage is what I am curious to see.

If the device can write at that speed, I will be super impressed.
