On pre-order in USA from 3rd August, available on 19th Aug. Pre-orders in Europe from 16th August and available on 2nd Sep.

Vodacom pre- order 15 August .!!!

Well it looks like the Note 7 could be in stores/available ,on Vodacom network (this month August 2016 .)
Vodacom has already advert up on website , "coming soon "
and pre- order from August 15th .
So who knows 19 August or a week late perhaps ?
I watched the launched and at this stage ,it seems to me a clone of S7 EDGE specs ...overall ?
However , i'm interested ,for various reasons .....
eg .Water resistant ( as i run everyday and even in the rain sometimes ..peace of mind knowing if it gets wet ..?)
Sd card / finally put my movies back on phone and not use Sandisk usb .
Finally, i have a few "update contract " available .!!
Well we will see .

I have a Vodacom contract that's up for renewal. Might just put in that pre-order. I haven't watched the Samsung event, but the Note 7 looks like a decent upgrade from my Note 4.

Yep, think I'll be getting the Onyx Black Note 7

Its a nice upgrade from the Note 4, I was tempted to go S7 Edge, but the larger display, SPen, USB Type-C, 64GB internal mem and less curved edges of the Note 7 do it for me.

Exactly! I almost got the S7 Edge, so glad I didn't. The 64GB internal storage will definitely be a huge plus for me. I can always do with 32GB extra storage.

just to add the Note 7 , comes "out of box " with an adapter C / mini usb ("old" mini usb .)
So your old cables ,OTG ,etc you can still use .
Further i also believe,
Note 7 , comes with Gorilla Glass 5 ,
which has a 80 ℅ " survival drop chance " at max height of +- 1.6 meters.
Where S7 Edge has Gorilla Glass 4 and 80 ℅
"Survival drop chance" at about max height
1.1 meters .?
( This is what i believe to be facts .... if incorrect ,i apologize and plse correct !!! )
Also the S pen is water resistant, Thus you can write underwater with it .
A more practical example eg . if it is raining
, your car involved in " Fender bender " .
You can still use Phone and S pen to wright down particulars .etc .

Vodacom launch date week of 15Aug /19 Aug .....?
I checked the Vodacom website.....

and found a countdown clock that states
eg ..11 Days ...6 hours .....(from time, i checked this morning ) left to launch ..??

This adds up to be around 15 August 2016 ?
So thought about it .....
first thought it meant ..to launch date ? ,
Seems , it actually means..... 11 days to launch of pre order( or what .? )

(That it seems Note 7 will have some " better " spam protection enabled..yes please !!! ( South Africa is on the list )

I would go with that .!
Its a Thursday.So i would assume that they have their Note 7 Launch night , 1 September ,.( its a Thursday night ,..same procedure ,as in past years )
Then Friday 2 Sept ,it should be available in all Vodacom stores .I presume Vodacom has sole
distribution rights for a week ,then the other carriers eg MTN,Cell C ,Telkom would follow.

I have the Note 2 ,Note 3, Note 4 and Note 5 .
All in good condition ,
All rooted, except Note 5 and all very good devices.
Bottom line, it's your choice if you upgrade or not .!!

Vodacom may get exclusivity on a colour for a month or so but they won't get device launch exclusivity. All networks launch together on a device of this stature!
