You guys is funny ......
As far as stability and battery life is concerned - I acknowledge that Dorimanx is doing a lot of work on his S2 kernel and the preference here seem to lean to Dorimanx 7.x and Rootbox, but If you want superstability with very good battery life, Siyah 4.1.5 and CM9 stable release will serve you well. CM10 has not yet reached the stability of CM9, but it is "new" and I would advise that you read before you download and flash any nightly ROM. I flashed a huge amount of kernel/ROM combinations in the past, but I have settled on Siyah 4.1.5 and stock Sammy firmware XWLPD for a while now (untill this morning that is). It is quick enough for me and very smooth. And with TB, I froze all the cr@p I didn't want. With that, I have JKay and ICS Domination mods also installed to prettify it and add some functionality.
Ghokanmoral has released a very nice ver 5.0i of his Siyah kernel last night. For now, it is very stable, but I will can only report on battery life at a later stage
