But the Spanish ROM does feel very smooth and quick.
Really like it a lot, so will keep it until there is a XFV/XFA JB ROM available.

XFA - all and XFV - Vodacom. They are the Samsung region and SP codes.

I want to flash it with the Official Jelly Bean update (the Spanish version). Is it fine to just upgrade from my stock ICS 4.0.3?
Not just that, is it fine to upgrade to any custom rom straight from any stock rom?

Upgrade to Spanish ROM, no hassle. Custom ROMs - it depends. If the ROM is based on Samsung Stock, you should have no problem. If moving across to AOKP or AOSP (like Cyanogen), you are well advised to do a clean install.Guys I've got a question. I finally built up the courage to root my baby

Sorry, missed your post before. I like salesale's attitude. He gets his ROMS right first time and he is extremely helpful. I have it on for only a couple hours now, but it's solid. So far so good. The jury is out on the new LS8 modem though. The leak fw (LSJ) had the LS6 modem included which was really good. If LS8 fails me, I'll flash LS6 back. As far as kernels are concerned, the development will only start when the source codes are released for the official release. Currently you can pick from Jeboo, PhillZ, Dorimanx and Siyah.

Just remember that you must still download Samsung's photo editor software, it does not come pre installed like with the S3 and Note2.
Quickest way is to click on any pictures in your gallery and select Edit. It will then prompt you to download Photo Editor.
It's a 12.11MB download, and good enough for basic photo editing, as well as some cool effects and colour options.

I honestly don't know mate. Just make a backup first as usual. The guys at XDA will be able to answer you better, but the golden rule is to wipe between different midified roms. I hope for your sake it won't be required!

Have you tried Snapseed, Google bought it a released it for free, it is awesome, expecially on the Tab

Apparently it's very good, but I just need a quick tool for basic editing of my pics.
Don't want to post them on the web, they already get uploaded to my 50GB Dropbox account.
