I think it's gonna be pretty good, but right now, too early to tell. Must do a few cycles on new firmware before you can draw a conclusion.

Below is my battery usage for today (keep in mind I've got the 2000 mAh extended battery), it was 100% charged 7 AM this morning. I'm sure it will definitely make more than a day with normal use. However, I've been hammering Facebook and Tapatalk quite hard today. :)

Hi, I'm busy downloading the Spain ROM, what is best for backing up non-rooted S2? My Backup is so far top from I could find. Titanium etc is for rooted phones, I don't really want to root. Yet.

What ROM or Android version are you running? You should really root. What's stopping you?
 
Time, for fixing what might go wrong. :) Although, I guess I'm on the slope now with this ROM. I'm still on stock ICS 4.0.3

Nothing can go wrong if you download the correct root file. It's as simple as flashing a rom but much quicker. For now, I think you should root, install Titanium Backup, backup your apps and flash the JB rom. You can make a backup of your current rom if you want. That's done in CWM recovery.

or you could just get the "exynos abuse apk" from xda

Upgrade to Spanish ROM, no hassle. Custom ROMs - it depends. If the ROM is based on Samsung Stock, you should have no problem. If moving across to AOKP or AOSP (like Cyanogen), you are well advised to do a clean install.

I've got the Spain FW on my phone, it's smooth, looks nice, feels great, but still feels too restricted. I think it's time to take it up a notch. Still have a lot of reading up to do though, but this thread and xda-developers forum helps a lot.

Restricted in what way?
 
Yes, 4.1 is a no wipe version if you were on 4.0. Coming from any other rom other than NeatROM, a full wipe is recommended. It is in beta though, but I see 4.2 is available. I had a serious slow down on 4.1 and then restored 4.0. I will check out 4.2 later
 
On XDA someone posted that with the new NeatRom, the phone would charge to 99% and not reach 100%. It would then keep on charging and get nice and hot. Anyone else notice this?
 
Flashed from 4.0.3 XFM yesterday to the Spanish ROM, no wipe. Worked like a treat, took 5min, and no issues so far (except the phone was running a bit hot, but thats disappeared now).
 
I flashed from stock ICS 4.0.3 to the Spanish 4.1.2 rom last night, used odin 3.0.4, no issues whatsoever. No wipe either.
I've only rooted my phone, haven't installed Dorimanx kernel back yet. Want to see how this performs so i have a base to compare.

Have a look at Neatrom lite from SaleSale or Wanamlite. Both pretty good. SaleSale is more helpful though.

That's been around for a while. There's a mod for it. People are just putting it in their ROMS now.

I am using Omega v18 and will install the Omega v19 LS8 later.
