Well considering sim cards only cost R1, I don't think they'll be breaking any profit records from this :P
 
I'd just like to report, been using the latest Rootbox Nightlies for about a week now with the stock kernel and Nova Prime. Comparing it to Omega 18, I'm very satisfied with Android 4.2.1. I like the notification style and everything else just runs like a dream. Clean droid for the win.

Must say i do miss rootbox. Just was having issues with calls so moved to official.
 
So I receive an sms today that my phoned had been delivered to the outlet where I dropped it. I get there after 5:30pm, the clerk checks the computer and goes off to the back. He comes back and says the phone is not there. I show him the sms, he takes it to the manager. He comes back 5 min later with the phone. They had placed it in the incorrect "pile".

I get home. They wiped my phone! When I handed the phone in the clerk said they would not do it as he put those instructions into the computer. I get home, test the camera and guess what. Autofocus still doesn't work.

These bloody jokers had my phone for more than a week and all they did was reload the OS.

This really pisses me off. MTN sucks.

Take a few photos and post them here showing your autofocus bug. Let us judge if it is indeed faulty or perhaps you just expect too much from the SGS2's camera.

I can't take a close up photo of anything without it looking blurry. I took the same photo with the SIII and the focus is perfect.

I know...I researched the problem on the internet before I took it in. The only people that got theirs fixed were the ones that received new phones. What are my chances of winning this battle with the robots/morons that work at MTN?

Not sure how to win it, but they definitely should give you a new phone under warranty. This seems like a hardware failure.

Have you tried getting Samsung's input/assistance in this? And then when all else fails, kick up a storm on Twitter with both MTN and Samsung
 
Been using my S2 with the official Spanish ROM for a few days now. So glad not to have the lock screen lag from the leaked ROM anymore :D

I have one issue though, on the stock keyboard when you hold down the full stop button (period button) to select other characters the box stays visible even once you have selected the character you want. I thought this was a bug with the leaked ROM but it is still happening on the official release. If it's supposed to be like that then It's really stupid and annoying.

It's because you should be using SwiftKey 3 or Swype, and not Samsung's sucky, crappy keyboard. :)
