Yeah I'm more interested in screen on time too, seems to be the biggest battery monster. Would be happy with 5-6 hours on my 2000mAh battery.

Edit: SAData that sounds a bit heavy tbh. Maybe install better battery stats and see if you getting any wake locks? Also did you do a full wipe etc when flashing LS8?

Agree. A bit heavy. I currently have 50% left after 15hrs with 2hrs 45mins screen on time. Had a couple of calls, wifi on mostly, otherwise 3G. I'm on NeatROM Lite 4.2 with PhillZ kernel. No undervolting or underclocking
 
My observations so far leads me to believe that Jelly Bean hates a crappy 3G signal, but so does every smartphone. It sucks battery juice like theres no tomorrow. :sick:

If you get home, put it on wifi as much as you can, also if your work has wifi in the building, run it off that.
 
Its below average, you may be experiencing the media scanner wake lock that many NeatRom users had but you would need something like better battery stats to check that.

No I didn't do a full wipe... upgraded straight from 4.0.3

I would also check for wake locks, otherwise if you are rooted maybe use titanium backup to back up your apps and do a wipe and restore them back? Sometimes such a big jump causes apps to not work as they should keeping your phone awake more than it should be.

how do I check for wake locks? Don't really feel like rooting my phone. Can't I just do a factory wipe reflash via odin? Or is that a bit risky. What sort of hours should i be looking to get with the stock batt. BTW if I use CPU spy it says deep sleep for 43% of the time then 200mhz for 40% of the time

Then that shouldn't be the problem, probably best wait until the next official sammy rom gets released or go back to your previous rom for now, a lot of people on XDA complaining that spain was just rushed to get us to stop moaning for a while, hopefully the next official will feel more "finished".
 
So my phone is now stuck on the boot logo... :(
Will only be able to flash the rom again when i get home from work.
I wasnt even fiddling with anything, it was working fine and the next minute it restarted and got stuck on the boot logo.

I shouldnt have installed the official rom last week :(


I was on stock kernel and was able to get into recovery, just flashed CWM and dori 7.44, cleaned cache, dalvik cache, fixed permissions, and did a nandroid backup and still nothing


Started downloading the rom at work but its taking ages, anyone have any other link besides hotfile?

You need to do a full wipe. What ROM were you on? The official one? NeatROM/Omega or just plain?

I'm going to try a reinstall, if that fails i'll do a full wipe then reinstall.

Does the full wipe from cwm delete anything of the internal sd?
