I just installed Cyanogenmod 10.x (4.2.2)

Cant say im a fan, i prefer the feel of the stock Samsung rom. I had the leaked 4.1.2 installed. Is there another one worth trying on 4.2.2?

ok, back to Omega V23. Loaded up the old version I had V20.1 after I just got gatvol of the AOKP version... Was just way too unstable and annoying. V23 might not be AS SMOOTH, but its an improvement over V20.1

Im happy again. Gonna be tough to let this phone go when my uprgrade arrives :erm:

I have to agree. Omega V23 is very good. I moved from Slim (which I also enjoyed) and I am very happy to have all the Samsung features back. Only thing that suffers is the battery life compared to Slim. I still get a day's use out of it with moderate use. I am considering getting the extended battery package.

gone back to Omega v23. The AOKP version was just too unstable, and resulted in quite a few reboots...

Will always be a problem on Samsung devices, until they provide proper sources for the devs to work with.

The (well developed) Samsung-based ROM's are usually most stable by association.

Hope they don't cancel my order.

Hi

To all those on a CM10.1-based ROm: are you achieving good battery life with Google Now active?

I'm on wanam LSE. And I have average battery life with Google now disabled. If enabled, it becomes very poor.

Thanks for all the feedback guys

Haven't noticed any noticeable power drain, have had Google Now on the entire time. My battery normally lasts about 2 work days with 1.5 hours screen time and 1 day with 3+ hours screen time, although I admit I don't have very many calls coming through.

This is with vanilla cm10.1.

Thanks

I get about one day, (3hrs screen) on LSE with Google Now disabled which is why I'm content. But i really like Google now and wanna play with it more.

I have traded my Note 2 and waiting for my S4, so using my S2 again until the new toy comes.

Been a while since I have used my S2 as a primary device so need to get up to speed quick.

On my Note 2 I kept all services on. Google Now is a big one for me but from reading posts in here is seems Google Now is a battery killer on the S2?
I am currently cruising at 11.1% batter drain with screen off which is hectic.

Also, what is the best stock ROM to run now?
