If I look at all the problems the S4 owners are experiencing, then I am definitely staying with my S2!

That's what everybody says until the try Cell C and see it isn't the crappy network they thought it was, myself included. I was very sceptical of moving to Cell C about 3 years ago (also coming from VC), best decision I made.

I also use to regard cellc 's network as inferior to the others until I started using it on my SII and now I'm on S4 and it's still good If not better. Maybe it depends on the saturation of the area/overloaded towers etc

Ps. Coverage did suck at first until middle of 2012.

Time for a little change, downloaded the Simplex theme and changed dpi a little. Looks sweet :D

I have a friend who has a S2 and it's starting to turn off by its self etc etc....He is still on 2.3

What's the easiest method? I assume Sammobile will be the easiest, is it just a case of downloading the firmware and dropping it on the phone?
 
mtn doesnt have the jellybean update approved yet? omg thats pathetic

yes sammobile is the best bet and i think you need to use odin to flash it

damn mtn i cant believe how slow they are

None of the SA providers have JB available yet.
 
I'm looking to buy one of these (2nd hand, as I can't find new :().

What do you okes reckon is a good price for a used S2?

Would you sell your baby? :)

offical jb and custom roms based on it are very laggy

hows the wifi tethering DrJohnZoidberg? is the range the same as on tw? i use my s2 as a wifi hotspot and thats very important
on other phoens cm always had a shorter range

It's good. I haven't gone hectically far but I was downstairs and using tethering while the phone was charging upstairs, this was through a wooden floor though.
