My wife said when I get it she wants my GS2 to replace her BB.

Hahaha... Battled to adapt to android?

Bb is rubbish as a phone platform. People only get them for "free" R69 bbm and internet. Which is going to be throttled by most providers soon anyway.

Heres a link for anyone that lost their drive and walk software due to flashing
http://www.mediafire.com/?ieie32y92gd1ng4

If it does not install go to application settings and check unknown sources

Thankyou very much. I've been looking for this.
Google maps works beautifully but drive and walk gets more regular updates and in our country of regular place and street name changes it could mean the difference between getting there or not.

Not to mention RIM is dying so soon BB users may not have a choice but to adapt to something else - unless someone buys them out and saves them.

May be true, I however found the BB Desktop software superior to Kies or even New PC suite.
Data usage caught me big time - normal email, Facebook, MyBroadband and Google Reader chew 200MB from Monday to Sunday.
Battery life potentially impacted by me fiddling with new phone
A pro for Android is the ease of web browsing, but yet again, on BB, that part of the BIS @ R59.

How does one then limit data usage on Android? - Vodacom Top 315 + 500MB data bundle bolted on is what I have on BB.

Let me know pls

Not sure why peeps use desktop software to do anything. And if you just have to sync your media with a desktop then DoubleTwist is king for me. Otherwise use the cloud.

To control data usage...
1. Install DroidWall to limit what apps use the net.
2. 3G Watchdog tracks your usage and breaks your usage down by app so you can find the hogs easier - and block them with Droidwall.

I only have a 100MB data bundle. Use wifi mostly.

Something new is always difficult because you don't know it yet.

Bb has done so well because of high costs of data and sms. But it really is a rubbish platform and the phones are unreliable.

Data usage.... I use about 100mb a month... Even with a few YouTube videos.

I had to block AP mobile because it used 70mb in one day. I use My Data Manager to see what is using my data.
