Finally got my phone back, got a scratch on my screen that was bothering me but lucky I found a dead pixel and some burn in so I got a new screen for free thanks to local warrantee, I now have a scratchless screen. I now want to start messing around with ICS, I have already tried the latest russian version XWLP2 and it feels quiet sluggish even after wipes, are all the firmwares this slow? Also I prefer the ASOP look of ICS so can any of you reccomend if I should try use CM9 even though it is still beta or use a rom like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1162715 . Thanks guys

I have tried the LP2 ROM and had numerous problems. Flashed LP7 again and everything was fine. I think LP7 is the hest ICS stock rom at the moment. I haven't encountered a single bug yet

I'm using fox hound ics 0.4. I'm quite happy with it. The only issue is when deleting a Google contact, it force closes, but it does actually delete. Fortunately i barely ever delete contacts.
Other than that it's great, everything else works perfectly, and battery is great.
I believe the new 0.7 fixes the delete contact bug. But I'm doubting whether to install it, as I'm quite content with the way things are running.
I'd recommend to give it a try as the aosp apps are stunning!

Does anyone know why I would have 60mb data usage from Google services in one day?

I've been using XXLPQ for 5 days now and haven't had any problems. Battery life is good.

I did a straight upgrade from gingerbread without wiping my phone as well. I just had to upgrade facebook and adobe flash from the market. Very happy with XXLPQ.

I just updated to LP7 from LPQ, then I realised ChainFire fixed a bug in CF-Root that was causing problems with SD-Card access. Gosh, the whole time I thought it was a problem with LPQ.... atleast all is good again.

Does anyone know why some apps can't be moved to the SD-Card? My phone is running out of space, but SD-Card has 8GB free!

okes that are still on GB roms, which modem do you use? I want one thats a good compromise between battery and performance.

Water damage with expensive smoke smell coming from charger. Charger melted.

Yeah, I feel like shyte.

Sorry man, but surely insurance will cover?

You serious?

Mess up your no-claims-bonus for a R90 charger?

I've got two HTC and one Nokia mini USB charger lying around...most people should have another mini USB charger??

I think what happened was the actual phone got water damage and when he tried to charge it, it shorted the charger out and caused it to melt.

yeah my understanding is that its his phone too, otherwise even a blackberry charger works hehe :)
