Expected total smoothness, but there is still tiny lag sometimes.
Was hoping the Picasa pics showing in my Gallery would be gone if I deselected it in my Google account sync, but they're all still there. Guess I must login to my Google account on pc and remove everything.
And they actually removed the supercool Test ROM default homescreen wallpaper, luckily I backed up my account and my wallpaper was restored.
I've made my default picture storage the internal storage, let's see if there are any niggles.
Will play with my phone and see if there are any other changes.

kingrob, you and I mentioned like 6-7 niggles of the test, have they been addressed? Because if they are not, then I doubt I will be downloading el Spanish version. I will then definitely wait for the Netherlands or German version (or even UK but they load crap additional bloatware)

They normally get released later so a lot of feedback from early roms regarding bugs are sorted out. And to be honest, it has just been personal preference of mine. I never had problems with them and with ICS, their firmwares seemed a bit faster than other country releases for me. I am hoping that the same trend will be kept seeing how anal especially the Germans can get about perfection, but who knows, maybe other countries' firmwares might be better this time round.
@OGroteKoning oh ok it makes sense. Is it easy/safe to reflash other regions firmware as they come out? Say I do the Spain one now and the the German (or SA) one later? I'm new to android only had my S2 like 2 months and I just reeeaallly don't want to brick or mess up the device, or when if it comes to a warranty repair this causing an issue. Im sure flashing official roms doesn't go against the warranty? I know custom roms *can* go against the warranty rules

Jeez, this Spanish ROM's GPS lock is insane. Barely a second or two & I had satellite lock in Google Maps.

Yes it is safe to flash other regions' firmwares - even multiple times. REMEMBER TO MAKE NAND BACKUPS!
It is seriously difficult to brick the S2, but some idiots are known to conquer anything.
There could be a risk regarding warranty issues, but IDGARA about that. Some reported that their phones were repaired irrespective the ROM flashed. In fact, I have never heard of issues because someone had a modified kernel or ROM on their phones - do so at your own risk
I doubt we will see an early release from our operators if any. In my opinion, they are all so hell bent on making money that they might decide to push a newer model expensive phone instead if catering for the older existing ones with free firmware. I seriously hope I am wrong for the sole benefit of those who stick to regional stock firmware. Maybe as late as August? Who knows?

Ok, this is a bit annoying, well, actually quite a lot.
I'm trying to copy a 6.55GB mkv movie to my SD card (wiped SD card clean after clean install), but I'm getting a message via Windows 7 File Explorer that there is not enough space on SD card. :wtf:
I've got a 32GB sdcard, it's empty and it worked flawlessly before. Might have to take SD card out and copy via SD card reader. *sigh*

FAT32 formatted maybe ?

this will happen on a FAT 32 format. Often overlooked.
My phone isn't rooted, feels like too much of a mission to figure out how to do that now that I've figured out how to flash ROMs

Guys on XDA recons that exfat (or something like that) takes care of the 4GB limitation and should wirk on JB

I reckon it's the dreaded 4GB limitation (same as PS3), cos it's fine copying a 2.64GB mkv file.
When I right-click on sdcard > Properties in Windows Explorer, it says it's using Hierarchical File System (HFS)!
Isn't that an Apple file format?

But the Spanish ROM does feel very smooth and quick.
Really like it a lot, so will keep it until there is a XFV/XFA JB ROM available.
