Samsung Galaxy S3

I cannot copy and paste within my Galaxy S3... this is most evident when in Whatsapp. I press and hold, select copy... then a message appears saying: this functionality is not supported by your device

Huh? Is this a whatsapp problem or is S3? i have the phone rooted [this was never a problem before] and haven't fiddled with loading different roms in the last few weeks. This is been ongoing since a month now.

HELP

Maybe Apple said copy and paste belongs to them. Works for me.

So yes, it's the update from 2-3 months ago. Awesome. That means we'll get JB by maybe February or so.

Just want to know WHY THE FUKK MINE WON'T INSTALL!!!

Same as me, no paste function since JB, mentioned it before in this thread.

I was concerned about this before flashing JB. So took the necessary backups etc.

I can report that I am not experiencing the problem. It doesn't help you resolve the issue, but i dont think its JB issue.

I'm not too fussed about it, although it's annoying. Basically, when I reported it several pages back, I mentioned that I had done all dirty upgrades (no wiping what so ever) from ICS, through a few JB leaks, then onto Polish JB - it's highly possible that the bug is related to this - kind of a hit and miss affair.
I've not even bothered trying to look for a solution. I'm just waiting for the next big 4.1.1 or even 4.1.2 (hopefully a UK one) official JB release and then I'll do a clean install (full wipe & format etc) and I'm certain the issue will be gone.

Received a msg that update is available, accepted the update but due to network issues it stopped. It then gave me the option to cancel or continue. Figured I would cancel until later when I will be in an area with better coverage. Now when I check for the update it says no update available.

Anyone help please??

Seriously, when will we be getting JB?

Seriously, going by this previous update, look at when Samsung releases the official firmware, then allow another 3 months for our networks to push it through.

Do I sense some sarcasm or serious? :p

Serious. Only the razr maxx with its giant battery competes.

Look all smartphone battery life is terrible in comparison to feature phones. But smartphone for smartphone anything above 12 hours with normal usage is great. 24 hours the gold standard.

Damn that sucks. Time to install polish JB maybe.

Ok, fair enough.

You've posted the exact same message twice in an hour. Seriously? While I don't expect anyone to read all 160 odd pages of this thread if they haven't been following it, all you needed to do was read one page behind your first post this morning at 11h00 and you would see that: a) other users are having the same issue as you and b) this is not a JB update, rather a small update to ICS. Try help yourself a little :wtf:

My apologies if I offended your senstive nature or eyes Gamer. But reading one page back showed that certain people were having issues, like the update not wanting to install but not necessarily with acutally having an update available, which is my problem at the moment.

Be that as it may, I'll try to be a little more thorough in my research next time...:wtf:

Cool, thanks :)

Just try rebooting, and connect to a wi-fi network. If the phone still doesn't say there's an update available, yours might already be installed. As others have said, it's some really small changes. Well, the lucky bastards who don't get some bull**** certificate error in CWM.
