Samsung Galaxy S3

Quick question. Does the S3 come with a SD or Micro SD card? If not, what kind should I get for it? Class 4? Normal cheap 16GB?

It doesn't come with one. I have a run of the mill 8GB and it's worked perfectly. I wouldn't stress about it. Just go for capacity.

Class 4 is completely fine for playing 1080p video from. However higher classes will copy much faster. I got a class 10 32GB for about R250, they're pretty cheap now.

Can anyone tell me when might we expect the Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE version in South Africa? On the Vodacom website it just states that the LTE capable device will be available in November this year, but what about general availability? :)

From Vodacom website:
Handset - Samsung - GS3 LTE (Available November)

Not S3 related... but anyone playing bad piggies? most addictive game I have ever played.

Mine also around 3 months (5 Aug) and I got a straight swap out there and then (on Monday) and my only problem was battery drain was excessive no matter what I did. I am sure you will be able to do the same. Take it to the shop you got it from.

In for repairs *sigh*

Back to a BB for me... My micro SIM doesn't fit into this DHD.

Just got my blue S3 this week, after owning the S2 it's a nice upgrade.. The screen is amazing :) cant even see the pixels.. Can anyone recommend if there is an option to auto turn off wifi and mobile data when the screen is locked? I have an app that does it, just wondering if those features are built in the phone? Thanks guys

Not built into the OS, but Llama or Tasker will take care of that for you.

Loaded SuperNexus this morning with a full wipe and the Camera wouldn't work. Also the toggle switches didn't give too many options and my biggest gripe was that there wasn't a volume toggle. Other than that everything appeared smooth. As the base is CM, there still is a memory leak.

But I'm back on Omega.

anyone know the difference between XFA and XFE regions... both seem to be South Africa

Is anyone running the AOSP SuperNexus ROM?

Busy downloading it as I'm keen to give it a go.

I used to, a few posts back. Worked great and looks incredible, but you lose all the nice stuff from Touchwhiz like the video player. Went to Omega now which is basically perfect.

Awwww. That sucks bad. I must have hit a luck then. Sorry to hear dude.

How about a micro SIM adapter (seen them on BidOrBuy)? Then at least you can use your DHD.

Thanks for the suggestion, but its only for a couple of weeks... :/
