Got the phone on Wednesday, it's not very grippy, so I'd like a cover if only to make it less slippery!
Does anyone know where to get covers that have a backup battery built into it, where it charges along with the phone battery but then it depletes before the phone battery? <edit>Something like a boost case that's available for the iPhone</edit>
P.S. How much are micro-sim card card cutters and are they available in the Southern Suburbs (Cape Town) or perhaps CBD?
How do you change the lock screen shortcuts?
Settings–> Security–> Lock screen Options–> Shortcuts
Cellucity quoted me R65. Is that the fee you're referring to?So you don't get a micro-SIM cutter with the phone? That sucks, the One X comes with one in the box. I'm definitely not paying Vodacom's rip-off sim-swap charge.
If I mess it up, worst case scenario I just pay the R65 sim swap fee to get a new sim?You can cut it yourself. There is link on this thread somewhere - very easy to do.

Dude just get some scissors and do it, can't be that hard![]()

I cut mine no problem.
I'm sure this is a mistake, Why can't google earth be downloaded in South Africa?? The play store won't let me install it
I cut my sim for my S3 and it was fine for phonecalls and sms but nothing else worked. I manually set 3G settings etc and still didnt work. Did a sim swop and it worked instantly. I think it depends on how old your sim card was.
This makes no sense, it doesn't even show up in my Play Store app... But you can still download it just fine through the desktop browser (or use the phone's browser and just send to device). Strange but it works.

Are you / were you using the lite or paid version lightflow?
I've had very few issues with it - a couple of times (with the lite version) the LED refused to turn off unless I disabled and then re-enabled that specific notification. But that is about it.
No, R63. I got it done at Cellucity today. Wasn't worth my time mucking about with scissors and a rulerI thought it's like R300?
Flashed CM9 (nightly) last night.
Only thing outstanding is FM radio (apparently third party apps work though).
Usual CM stuff
* Custom auto-brightness levels
* Custom notification settings short-cuts (power widget)
ALSO
* Notification light customisation (no need for light flow any more)
Haven't done any extensive camera testing (don't use it much anyway), but for my normal day to day use CM9 20120629 Nightly + Apex seems super stable and lightning quick at the moment.
