Yes, we got the SGS3 with Quad-Core CPU and 1GB of RAM and it will be able to run Jelly Bean.
I will first wait for all the feedback about performance and battery usage before I upgrade to Jelly Bean.

It will be faster than ICS, don't worry. When we'll actually get it is another matter. At least Samsung isn't as bad as Motorola with the updates...

I read somewhere that the home button takes abuse(As you will be using it a lot) and the white starts to come off, showing black. Any of you experience this?

Only way is to change your launcher. I believe the two top ones at the moment are Apex or Nova (do a search to see review on them and others)

I'm hoping to get a mod for software keys, and to remap the home key as a dedicated camera key.
Was thinking about getting this phone, but I'm put off by this as it's not the first time I'm reading about it.
Returned the one x because of the wifi issue.
It's probably best to wait for the next models to be released before spending money on a phone.

I wonder if someone can help me with this issue. Seeing that I'm new to Android I might be doing something wrong.
Why is it that even though I sync my Facebook and Gmail contacts with my phone it doesn't show a profile pic next to the contacts. Just the standard sillouette?

I think Facebook made some changes to their privacy policy, which upsetted El Goog, so Android ICS would not allow the contacts to be synced with their pictures. Or something like that.
Don't know if it has been changed back yet.

New to Android, so bear with me
Is it possible to stream videos from your pc, or other pc's connected to you WIFi, to your S3
Over the same LAN - yes just share the folders and you good to go.
Over the net - i am pretty certain you can - i just havent done it.
