Samsung Galaxy S3

Just tried to get Dashclock and was told that the app is incompatible with my device. But I'm on 4.2...what gives?

On another topic, would really love to try some roms as I am embarrassingly still using stock. Just seems a bit confusing and really worried that I'll screw it up. If only I had two phones...:p

I'm also on 4.2 and my Dashclock works just fine. Maybe it's a sign:D I'd say Cyanogenmod 10.1 is a good start.

How will it improve my life? Sell me :p

Also, would I have to reinstall apps? Lose data and settings etc.

Tips for improving my battery?

... I use mobile data during the day for WhatsApp, emails, tapatalk.

Can't give you tips without knowing the problems with your current usage. What firmware are you running, how bright is your screen usually etc. JuiceDefender Ultimate might be your easiest solution.

Just take the plunge, I promise you the grass is way greener on th other side of TouchWiz.

And remember to read and follow instructions to the tee.

Got a recommendation for clear instructions for S3? Found a youtube vid earlier but it said only for AT&T S3's so didn't want to risk it.

I've never used Titanium but always heard of it. I assume I should install that first to backup everything?

This page is a good place to start. Make sure you follow guides for the i9300, assuming that's what you have.

Yesterday there was an update available which I installed. It was about 66.8 megabytes. After the update, I could not notice anything different. Does anyone have any info on this? Running stock Android 4.1.2

My s3 stuck on samsung logo. Tried to install original software with Kies but i get the same thing. I can go to download mode and recovery mode. But when I am on recovery mode i get this message "E: failed to mount/efs (invalid argument)". Please help guys.

Okay i am sold on going for Cyanogenmod, do I go for the Stable or the Nightly (I have read up that some of you don't prefer the nightly due to various issues, which can be expected)

As my first time, I am thinking Stable?

Nightly. I've been on the nightlies for quite a while and I've had almost no issues. They're extremely stable. Just make sure you clear your caches, factory reset, are rooted and have Clockworkmod Recovery.

Used to have alot of issues with the cyanogen 10.2 nightlies, but dont have any issues with the latest. Soon as paranoid or rootbox release 4.3 stable roms Im jumping ship. Its just more feature rich.
