Btw, my recommendation is to NOT install unofficial (even if based off Cyanogenmod) firmware. I will try to revert to stock again tonight, had plenty of issues last night.
Download another video player, try vlc media player and use that to stream videos.

Difficult to stream twitch with VLC. Did try an alternative Twitch player, didn't work. Main problem was actually extremely slow wifi connections. Everything is fine on stock again.

Anyone know where I might still be able to find a Samsung Galaxy S3 (i9300) or Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (n7100) on contract?

Have you tried CellC's "build your own contract" tool?
S3 has been discontinued since about April 2013 so good luck. Note 2, not sure when these got discontinued either. As far as i know, cellucity (cape town side) are completely out of stock. Your best bet, cash 2nd hand and then get a no phone contract.

Today I flashed my S3 with the following firmware I9300XXUGMJ9_I9300OXAGMJ9_I9300XXUGMJ9_HOME.tar found on sammobile. After flashing my phone it didn't reboot properly and would not pass the Samsung logo. I eventually found a way around it. The problem I have now is that my phone does not have any network and it displays a text box with PDA, CSC etc phone details in yellow.
Does anyone know how I can fix this issue?

Looks to me that you might have the wrong firmware.
Download the correct firmware for SA from here http://sampro.pl/firmware/android/samsung-i9300/

any news on 4.3 update for I9305?
Checked sammobile, nothing for SA as yet
Think Samsung is skipping the 4.3 update & going straight to Kitkat.
End of March for Note 2 and S3.

Hey Guy's,
Im having a similar issue, my Samsung was stuck on the Samsung logo, so decided to reload software (via ODIN) problem is now, it still doing the same thing, but now i want to try and load the OS again, but now Odin is not picking up the Phone completely? It is a I9300.
Are you sure you are in download mode?
