Samsung Galaxy S3

Anyone know when the S3 mini is due for an official update again?
 
Would love to have the work's S3 mini upgraded to Android 4.3 at least but am not holding my breath for any update for this mini since it is the first model released (I8190). Also believe the GS3 still has one more official upgrade due since the 1GB memory should not really be the only limiting factor for the new 4.4 OS and the quadcore cpu can still hold up great against others.

Kit kat can work on devices with 512 ram. So there is no xcuse for manufacturers not to update older devices. The s3 mini has all the hardware requirments for 4.4. Its just that samsung wants you to buy newer products so they simply leave out certain devices eventhough it is capable enough.

Yes.... After the update, my s3 lagged at times. Then less than 2 days after the update, whilst the phone was on charge and not being used, it hard bricked. Nothing works, no reset, doesn't charge etc.

Wonder if anybody else has had this. I see lots of similar complaints on overseas forums, but none here yet.

Update.... I took the phone into Samsung. They ended up replacing the mainboard!!

Phone is about 20 months old and they repaired it under warranty within a day.

Only problem is now it doesn't want to update to 4.3, it tells me the phone is up to date already (4.1.2).
 
Yeah. Not built to last. My gps isn't working, brothers mic stopped working. Also on about 20mo. Problem is had the screen replaced for much cheaper a few months back, so can't warranty claim
 
Mine auto updated to 4.3
Are you signed in with a Samsung account? I think it is required, and off course the device has to have "Official Status".
 
flash it manually with odin
have you tried connecting your phone to pc via kies? maybe kies will find update
