Samsung Galaxy S3

I'm glad we on the same page, I have written lengthy reviews on this ROM, try changing your lockscreen and quick settings panel to transparent. Its amazing. By far the best ROM out there. Have used them all over the last year.

Erm, no it's not a breeze. It's only a breeze if your device is rooted, and you rooted it before you used it for anything. If you haven't rooted, *everything* on your device is lost with the root...

I only rooted my S3 after having it for a month or two. Nothing changed at all. Just rebooted after the Odin flash and it was business as usual.
 
My S3 is so laggy and buggy with stock firmware. What's the best rom atm and where do I get detailed instructions on how to do it, please? My phone is not rooted. Thanks

Are you on the 4.3 ROM?

Factory reset & make sure you are using a fast SD card.

Thanks man. Going to try this. The nightly CM11 on my phone is giving me kark.

Is it the same process to install it as Cyanogenmod? I have only ever used CM.

Load the rom and gapps to sd, backup with cwm, install the rom with cwm, install gapps with cwm, wipe, done?

Follow the instructions in the first post of the ROM. I had no issues compared to the other ROMs, I have used CyanogenMod and was a big supporter of Slim ROM but this ROM has much more features and is more customisable.

For the past few days I've been finding that mine also goes unresponsive - though more like a few seconds than a few minutes.
Also find that my keyboard (SlideIT) restarts every now and then.

Still loving it though, though I need stability so will have to go to a later nightly next weekend. If that doesn't work, I'll try another ROM.
 
Do you any of you folks that`s running the The nightly CM11 rom experiencing the below problems & if you do how can it be remedied.

1.High battery drain
2.Instability, certain apps keeps failing & phone lock ups intermittently

Any helpful feedback re:the above will be greatly appreciated.

1. Slightly higher drain than on stock for me.
2. Not really. Most apps work fine. Camera went black once, randomly. Just quit the app and restarted it and it worked fine again.

Forgot to add, I haven't Greenified it yet or figured out any wakelocks.

Just updated via OTA, VC, to 4.3, so far so good.

No noticeable changes in hardware and performance.

One thing i did notice was that when the screen is off, if i press the power button to wake the screen up, it takes a considerable amount of time to actually switch it on (2 seconds).

Anyone else having this issue? any fixes?

I noticed that too. Kinda irritating! When I get bored of 4.3 I'll try a custom ROM, but probably only towards the end of May.

I can recommend that resurrection rom. A few days in and extremely happy.
 
@ Brawler the resurrection rom you mentioning is it more stable then cm11 & how`s the battery usage like?
What other stable non battery eating roms would you people recommend.
