Sony has about 17 times more bloatware than Samsung unfortunately. Agreed on the plastic though, I'm sick of it.

I've read that about stock Rom. Unfortunately the htc one isn't available either. Anyway I'm hoping there's a Google play edition rom I can load on the Z2.
 
One of the unfortunate side effects of releasing new phones every 7 minutes - the manufacturer stops giving a **** about their older devices even sooner than before.
 
It's upgrade time for me. I'm considering doing the trade-in deal where Vodacom gives you R90 off your subs for 24 months, so that's R2160 over 24 months. Worth it?

Vodacom’s deal book also states that any other smartphone can be traded in for a R10/month discount on the Samsung Galaxy S5 with Smart S contract.

There is some fine print on the trade-in offers which reads as follows: “cellphone must switch on/power up, be intact, screen not damaged (no cracks, pixels missing, etc.), have a battery and cover and not be blacklisted.”

Oh, I see R90 p.m. trade in value is only on offer is taking a Z2 deal. Not sure if it's the same if going for an S5, probably not because they have even reduced the trade-in value of the S4!

Vodacom consultant that did my upgrade actually talked me out of doing the trade-in, saying the S3 was worth much more than 2k. So I'll be advertising on MyBB when I am ready to part ways with it. Failing that, Gumtree.
 
Guys,

anybody having this issue with their S3,
Phone randomly reboots, and gets stuck in a boot loop at just before Samsung Logo.
i tried battery pulls, factory reset and even google, best bet i got so far is a faulty power button, doesnt seem to be software related.

ideas?
 
small question to all the s3 owners out there,

this phone isint covered under Samsung warranty ADH is it?

also anybody know of somebody who replaces s3 screens that are cracked, I'm trying to help a friend out

preferably cheap :)
