Samsung Galaxy S3

I think that's a tad optimistic. The market is flooded with them as most people's 2 year contracts have come to an end now.

Most? You mean the VERY early adopters. I'd bet that most of the SA users' contracts will only end near the end of the year or the first half of next year. The phone only launched in May 2012. It didn't become too widely adopted for several months after that.

Contracts get upgrades from month 20 now so there are already more than plenty on the market

Actually thinking of keeping my old S3 as a wifi hotspot for my wifi only iPad 2 that my old man is gonna use.

Would have upgrade to S5 yesterday, but none of the MTN's around me have stock :erm:

Anyway. I have to get my S3 ready to sell it. Currently on Cyanogenmod. What is the current "official" firmware for the S3 now in SA (MTN)?

Current official is 4.3 (I think the CSC for MTN is XFA - it's either XFA or XFE) here's a Sammobile Link for XFA and XFE:
XFA - http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=GT-I9300&pcode=XFA#firmware
XFE - http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=GT-I9300&pcode=XFE#firmware

Download and flash through odin :)

OK, if you selling S3 R1500 is too low. Sold in 2 min on Gumtree with 5 calls in 5 min.

LOL....a S2 sells for R1500, S3 sells for R2000 - R2500, if it's in good condition.

Told you I'd buy it from you. ;)

*But it's getting very crowded in that price bracket, as the S4 mini also sells for that.
