Contracts get upgrades from month 20 now so there are already more than plenty on the market

S3 as a hotspot is overkill imo, rather sell it and get 2 or more mifi's.

Yes those would work. Someone mentioned the phone being worth about R2000 which gets you two of those. Or even one of their LTE one's which have great battery life, perfect for the role.

Current official is 4.3 (I think the CSC for MTN is XFA - it's either XFA or XFE) here's a Sammobile Link for XFA and XFE:
