Samsung Galaxy S3

Sheez mine barely lasts a day. But I'm constantly using it as a gps to navigate me around Singapore. Maybe I should look at adjusting a few settings...

Wow. Anyway, what's your "screen on time". Click on the screen usage.

EDIT: From the blue bars its not a lot at all. Compare my screen on time (blue bars below battery graph) compared to yours.

Okay reading the rest of the posts I feel a bit better about my battery life. I have sync on, quite a few widgets like flipboard and Facebook, screen set to auto, wifi on, 3g on, watch the odd YouTube clip, listen to some music, gps always on and directing me with Google maps and navigation, and I'm taking a ton of pics which auto sync with dropbox. I also use it as a remote for xbmc and stream videos and music to my phone with bubbleupnd. I think I'm doing it right...:D

Ok. Here it is for today. (abnormally high usage for me).

GPS on in the morning. Lots of messaging. Facebook sync on. Email sync on. Gmail (mail, contacts, calendar, photos). Sent a few screenshots to dropbox. 3G/2G on. Flipboard. Tapatalk. Wifi in the morning. Copied a file from my server to my phone. Using CM9 nightly.

Screen on time. 1hour30

Either there's a whole lot of lying going on ITT or people aren't using their phones at all. If you have a Galaxy SIII (or any other modern phone) and it's lasting more than 12 hours between charges, you're doing it wrong.

Some of us work for a living ;)

I am on 13 hours off the charger, and have 79% battery left. Its 11h45 now and basically been off the charger since 22h00 last night. Mobile data usage is always on. When at home it swaps to wifi. Screen brightness fairly low.

To go with piesangs breakdown of settings:

Wifi on
GPS off
Notifications on
Data on
Sync on
Network set to 3G Only
Screen Brightness set to 30%
Twitter, FB and opera browsing. Couple runs on temple run to kill time.
Couple phone calls.
Couple Whatsapp messages.

Single core with 512mb... I shiver at the thought o.O

Hey, Nokia's still doing that and slapping a 7809 terapixel camera on it and they still have rabid fanboys declaring it to be better than modern stuff, so why not?

I suspect you are being sarcastic but coming from a Desire with similar specs I really would never go back.

/hugs S3

Yeah but the Desire was released almost 3 years ago.

I'm dead serious by the way(apart from the amount of pixels). Nokia really did release a "flagship" phone with a single core cpu and 512MB RAM last month. And we really did have a thread where an insane fanboy told us how much more awesome it is than the Galaxy SIII.

I got the Desire two years ago, I know cause I just upgraded my account.

I'm sure if you managed to run Windows 3.1 on it it would be amazingly fast. For Android, not so much.

Does the phone he linked run Windows Phone? So why compare it?
