Samsung Galaxy S3

Well after the uphill battle I've had with AllShare, perhaps it's time to throw in the cloth and switch to Plex. I know they client works on the Samsung TVs and BD players, as well as Android. You'll have a shared library that you can access from all devices. You'll also be able to resume from any devices where you last stop whatever it was you were watching.

Up to you, but from my brief experience AllShare seems like bloatware.

Im tired of struggling.... :)

This is my setup:

I have windows 7 pc with samsung allshare, 2 tv's and a blu ray connect via ethernet cable to my home network and streaming, music, pics, videos perfectly over my network.

Here is the problem. I recently got my S3 and my wife has a tab 10.1.... I can not seem to get allshare to work on either of these.... i want to stream music to my phone or tab to use in my entertaiment area

My S3 is CF rooted and i read that you can add the S2 dlna.apk allshare app to system file, which i have done and it starts up, but no luck in seeing my pc or any other device on the home network....

What can i do?

Thanks

Sorry, didn't see you posted in the thread again.

Since the problem is not on the server side, just use BubbleUPnP on the phone. https://play.google.com/store/apps/...soft.android.bubbleupnp&feature=search_result

I'm still recommending going with another server too, your TV's etc will still work fine with Plex as the server, and on the Blu-ray player you can install the Plex app, so you'll get episode synopses, posters, etc. Plus you can access it through any other DLNA client, such as the one built into Samsung (or other) TV's.

Plex also has an Android app, although that's not free.

i will try and post my results....
thanks a lot for the help

In English?

Is that Jelly Bean?

Cm = cyanogenmod.

No. Cm9 = ICS. Rc = release candidate.

CM10 = JB. There is a developer build (pre alpha) available, but it's not usable for day to day. It's looking promising though. Can't be too long before we start seeing nightlies i.e. nightly builds.

Guys some help please?
I restored factory settings, too many issues for some reason.
I have never been able to get my camera gesture working.
Its not factory reset and still on the lock screen I tough the screen with one finger and turn it to side, still nothing

Edit I see in security, there is an option

Mine goes straight to the camera, but I still have to unlock the phone after the gesture. So I save myself maybe 0.2 seconds of clicking time. Seems a bit of a gimmicky function to me, as do many of the gestures to be honest...

Wait for JB, it's been vastly improved ;)

(Actually I have yet to try it, maybe one day I'll be allowed more then 30 free minutes a day?)

How do you guys manage your contacts? Do you copy all to phone and erase from the sim card? Whats the best? Leave them all on sim or transfer to phone?
