Did the whole RTFM , google and played with it almost non-stop. It's an awesome phone but iOS works well for my very basic needs.

I love the phone but the battery is just not lasting me the day. It lasts if you turn everything off, then it lasts forever but what the hell is the point of having a smartphone? Need to look for a replacement.

I had major battery issues (search this thread). After trying everything I knew I RMA'd the device and was sorted.
With the replacement I got 2 days with ease with all services on - including Google Now.

True, I know what you mean.. However, finding a smartphone with a long lasting battery(3-5 days?) simply doesn't exist.

With moderate use on my Note 2, 2 days is very achievable. Light to moderate would fall within your requirements.

In order of preference I would personally go
1. Note 2.
2. Lumia
3. iPhone 5
iPhone 5 is a nice device but iOS fails the device.
Lumia is very sexy as is WinPhone. Very small app store compared to the others though.
Note 2, well I have one. Let down may be the big screen if you not into that. Otherwise it is a kick @ss device. Zero complaints. Android pretty much owning all the other OS's currently. If you prefer a smaller screen then look at the S3. I personally put the Note 2 and S3 on the same level. Brilliant devices.
Probably best to do some store visits and get a feel for each. At the end of the day, what you can do with the device will win over how it looks, and Android owns this area.

Don't sell your S3.
Just get one more standard 2100 mAh battery & battery charger (acts as handy kickstand as well), then you have 4200 mAh for each day.
Takes 10 seconds to swap battery.

Agree... Had a brain fart and never realised he had an S3.
I went from the S3 to a Note 2 and do kind of miss my S3. Watching movies on the Note 2 is a kick @ss experience though. Both are damned good devices.

I got totally besotted with my S2 after I loaded the Samsung Jelly Bean test ROM on it.
I realised that is exactly how I wanted my phone to be... No calendar app comes close to SPlanner, the radio, music, video widgets, all are just superb.
So I got myself another S2.

I used both today. The Lumia is very nice, feels like a premium device (almost like an Apple device) OS seems smooth, etc. Only issues I have are:
- Whatsapp support seems dodgy?
- No Chrome or Firefox, just IE? (god help us).
The Note 2 is pretty much exactly like the S3 with improved battery life (as I understand it). This is good but man that thing is H.U.G.E what the hell.

Whats strange is I have a Pebble Blue S3 which i took out with MTN and mine is 25GIG, however there is no mention of the 25gig S3 its either 16/32gig whats going on?
Hmmmm..... now that u say it I also only have 25gb. Maybe 7gb is system?

It's "32GB", but really 32,000,000,000 bytes, or whatever, using powers of 10, not powers of 2. So when it's formatted it's actually more like 29GB, and then the system takes up some of it, so you are left with about 25GB.
