Samsung Galaxy S3

Mine fell out my pocket while getting into my car, no cover and cracked my screen :( I think anything could happen really.

The LTE version comes with 2gb RAM. Why not upgrade?

I just flashed XFE 4.1.2, from stock MTN 4.1.1 :D (1.2GB unzipped)

No carrier branding!

Multi-window works great, real smooth. Speed is very similar, i have disabled quite a few apps though.

I've installed this a while ago already. Multiwindow is pretty useless until more apps are supported. Mine still shows Vodafone. I really don't care. Not sure what the issue with branding is. :o
 
I've decided that CM10.1 is actually pretty crap for the time being until they iron out the bugs. Can't use the flash on the camera and the camera app that it comes with is schit. It is still draining my battery considerably as well and although BBS is installed, I haven't the foggiest what to do with it or what any of the info means, nor why my phone constantly tells me each time I switch the screen on that BBS has been granted superuser permissions.

Gonna have to revert to stock for now until the official 4.2 release...

Not according to my S3.
I have 4.1.1 installed (only purchased the phone about a month ago), and when I do a software update check, it tells me no new versions are available. :(

Odd I'm on the same and my camera flash is working just fine. Batter is tougher but I'm getting my best berformance ever so far and averaging around 2 days per charge with mostly moderate and some lite use. This took quite a while though to figure out exactly which apps were causing the drain and which apps, including system apps to freeze in Titanium Backup.

For e.g. there was an app called Chronos a few nightlies back that was causing extended wakelocks for me and freezing it solved the problem. Under the latest nightly it is now called cLock 1.0 so it seems they have updated that part of the OS, hopefully fixing the issue from the OS side. I also had a NFC component causing wakelock issues, even though NFC was turned off.

Perhaps if you post a screenshot of BBS partial wakelocks after a night on aeroplane mode some of the guys here can investigate.
 
I tried cm10.1 last month. Samsung has gotten so good at software that I had to revert to stock. The problem I have now started a few days ago. It charges slow. I read it's a problem with the ota of jelly bean conflicting with ics. One solution is to change usb charging cable to one with five pins. Mine came with five so I don't know if it will help if I get a new one. It's a great phone though.

So you're saying you didn't just flash the latest stock firmware? You flashed ICS and updated it OTA? Why?

The flash works, but half the time it freezes the gallery and the autofocus doesn't maintain focus either. It is a known issue in 4.2 apparently...

Yeah I'm using Chronus at the moment. So perhaps this build was just schit...

I cannot reiterate enough how absolutely confused I am with BBS. Absolutely nothing about it makes any sense to me and the XDA thread assumes a level of geeckery that I'm nowhere near. What exactly do I do in BBS to do this? When I go to the main BBS screen there is hardly any info until I select a drop-down and even then, I haven't the foggiest what it is I'm selecting and why...
