Ye glad I did it, will probably preorder in the future online as it is way better than the walk in stores.
Sadly I am still a tech whore/slut so will be waiting for the iPhone8 or Samsung S9 if the IPhone8 is not pushed to this year for the anniversary

I like how you list your requirements which multiple phones, including Samsung meet, yet you get angry saying this phone or that phone doesn't cut it.
I'm 99% sure the iPhone 8 won't do 11 hours screen on time.

He seems so hurt by Samsung that he can't even admit the S8 has good battery life, coming from previously having the S6 which famously has horrible battery life the S8 is a revelation. The S7 is another story, maybe not so much worth the upgrade.
I'm sure I could've converted some of the standby time into screen on time, I could probably have gotten 8 hours screen on time with 18 hours usage easy.

If I was that concerned and absolutely battery life and I just had to have it I would import either the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 or Lenovo P2, neither of which are slow at all.
You know how amazing the S7 Edge battery is, the P2 lasts twice as long easily.

Why clean up your RAM?
Android by nature tries to fill up as much RAM as possible. This saves battery life and increases performance. You are not doing yourself any favours by cleaning out RAM unless you are troubleshooting.
RAM management on Android is very different to RAM management on a PC.

Anyone go to Sandton for the Galaxy promo? From the Samsung S.A. Twitter page looks like they giving away accesories and wearables. It also doesn't seem like you have to buy from Samsung to choose your gift.
Yup...got an iconX. They take your serial number, ID and cell number. Proof of purchase may be required too.
Some guys got Gear 3. But they have VRs , LED covers, Fit Gear 2(in pink).
You do get to choose..but the options vary per day & availability. Lots of covers, speakers and VRs. The lady said that they only had five Gear 3 wearable to give away and that was gone on Friday.
