And you get to pick one item? Do they have plenty stock? Does it matter if i got it earlier in the week?

Different stories galore. I was told they only came yesterday and were given away quickly. Got an s2 though. Not really complainingYou do get to choose..but the options vary per day & availability. Lots of covers, speakers and VRs. The lady said that they only had five Gear 3 wearable to give away and that was gone on Friday.
Ok, working now after rebooting the phone.Anybody here using the FNB Banking app? I've enrolled fingerprints on the S8 but the app doesn't pick them up for fingerprint authentication.
Samsung mobile care launched @ R70 p/m. Disappointed no free ADH.

"SMC includes two screen repairs, one per year over a two-year period."
What they don't mention here is that it will cost you R1000 per screen repair and "free" battery swap in addition to the R1299 you have already paid / R69 p/m you are still paying.
It is not "free" even after cover.
Repair Fee
You will pay a R1,000 Repair Fee for each front glass SMC claim, and may be asked to provide an explanation of where and when the event occurred with a detailed description of the event. A repair will be denied if you fail to pay the service fee or fail to provide information relating to the accident when asked.
You will pay a R300 Repair Fee for each back glass SMC claim.
If you require a SMC repair during the Promotional Period, please refer to the Repair Fee under the Promotional Period section.
now this is bullschit
Yep. I agree 100%. I wonder what it costs to replace the screen without any "SMC" cover.
I guess it's like insurance.... by a monthly fee, and then a additional payment when you claim?
I guess so. So from free ADH cover to at least R2299 for a screen repair. That sounds like a cash grab.
Why does Samsung care about exactly how an accident happened? Are there some accidents which will be deemed not accidental enough?
And fanie, just because other OEMs haven't decided to gouge their customers in this innovative fashion, it doesn't make it a great idea. Presumably in the past they'd included the cost of ADH within the phones' retail costs (because it was entirely free) and now they've stripped that out AND are charging for it over-and-above (so it's not like they reduced the pricing of the phone and then introduced this extra cost that balances out in the end).
And if you compare that to another OEM?

I don't think the prices were inflated specifically with ADH in mind
Same here, probably not "inflated", but maybe an attempt to get us to buy locally rather than importing unlocked units for much less, as well.
how does the LG G6 RRP compare with the local price, i haven't checked.
