Lol, the hardware was ruined by the leaks, it was a whole lot of confirmation of what we heard.
Anyway, typical Sammy, it's packed to the hilt with features, really impressive design and great hardware to go with it all.
This makes me excited for the Note 8
going to save up some moola for late this year and see if the Note 8 goes even further in terms of innovation before I make a decision.
Overall great work by Samsung, it's a bigger step Vs. S6 to S7.
I am most happy for the poor souls who fell for the Galaxy S6 on 2year contracts, at least this is a huge upgrade.

Is it really? I've got an S6 that I got on launch, so it's coming out of its contract next month. I'm not convinced though, there's nothing in the S8 that makes me think "Oh yes, I want to spend R600/month for the next two years all over again." Heck, I've got better things I can do with that money.
I don't care about the S8's iris scanner (my S6's fingerprint scanner works just fine ta), I don't need my phone to be a desktop replacement, I don't use Samsung Pay (although I can already use FNB's tap-and-go NFC payments on my S6), and I don't have a Samsung Gear VR (or remote). What else is left? Bixby? ROFL, I think not.
Sure the S8 is a great phone but R600+/month*24 is even better to have
