SARS E-Filing 2019/20

I'm quite keen to see how efficient they are going to be with payments
My brother submitted his return yesterday, checked his statement of account this morning, and his refund is getting paid tomorrow.

How do I request this again?
After login, click on your 2020 return and you will notice at the bottom of the page there is an option to request a Statement of Account. Once issued, if a refund has been processed, the statement of account will show R0.00 and there will be a line item showing the refund date.1595844664191.png

Yeah I'm not seeing that. See my notice. See my return but no where to request the Statement of Account :(

Go into SARS correspondence, then go to IT notices and request a statement of account for last 6 months.

I submitted this morning and due around 25K back will see how long it takes.

Update: I just completed my return, pretty much the same as last year R63k refund. Only difference is that I have not been selected for verification or audit this year... "Selected for verification (N)". I think this will change after 24 hours because they will almost certainly want to verify my logbook etc.

Not much change to the look and feel of the efilling system, everything took me less than 1 hour to complete.

Will keep you updated.

Where do I see the date I will get my refund? I completed my return now and Im getting back about what I expected

Submitted yesterday as well and was selected for verification. Uploaded a whole bunch of supporting documentation. Guess it is in regards to my rental income as I am supposed to be getting back R9.6k. Gave the SARS call centre a buzz this afternoon and they hardly listened to my query. All they hammered on is that I should not have been able to submit and read the generic email about auto assessment. Oh joy...

They're probably right, but who cares.

I think they will be using that line until 1 September for anyone who dares query the status of their return. Bottom line is now that you have submitted your supporting docs they will complete your assessment within 21 working days. In my experience over the years, give it 2 weeks, it should be sorted by then. The only snag is when they want more information than what you have already submitted.

I have been submitting logbooks for the last three years and have never been selected for an audit - if your assessment states Audit: N, then you are not selected for an audit. This should only change if the details on your return change.
