SARS E-Filing 2019 OPEN!

Errrrr ... do you pay medical for a big family, or have a lot of uncovered medical expenses in the last year? I don't mean to pry, just curious how the big numbers are possible :D

Only the 3 of us. my daughter has scoliosis, so we have many specialist physio appointments. We also had to buy a special brace that she wears at night to try correct the spine. Medical savings normally done by May.

Oof, yeah dude, sounds like you need it then. Good luck with that.

yeah - I get 44k back, mainly medical expenses, - This is for Disability. every year the same.

Need to do mine hopefully will get around 40k back. Took a 3-4 month break after articles. While still paying into my retirement. Plus I bought an apartment with a bond to rent out. Hoping I won't get audited

So, we can submit our tax reasons already (and don't have to wait for July 1st) ?

I'm keen to get this out of the way.

lol, and the award for least engagement with an online thread goes to ...

Yes Shi, that's exactly what you can do. Now we're all just waiting for the SARS roulette wheel to turn in our favour so we can get the refunds due quickly enough.

I seem to recall it usually takes two weeks or so, right?

LOL, I'm just shocked reading this thread … the fact that SARS is ready more than a week before officially doing so and that I suspect that I will get audited (for the first time ever). Been waiting for this. I usually get R750 back cause of a small RA. This year, it is 3 IRP5s, medical aid contributions and a big increase in RA (calculator says R14K). I'm a bit nervous to submit it.

Perfectly understandable. Feel free to give the R14K to me, I'll make the problem go away.

Last year I submitted 25 June & received my R52k return 12 July. No audit, just verification. The delay was a team leader had to approve/release the payout.

Done my return quickly without checking everything now. I am due R35k. Will properly check everything in the morning when I get to the office and submit.

Maybe SARS upped their game and payout times are better this year.

Submitted mine on Saturday morning. Pulled a statement of account this morning and the date for the refund is tomorrow. Not bad at all from SARS.

Seems SARS is doing better than a bunch of these investment houses - still waiting on tax certificates from a couple institutions before I can submit; I see last year I also only got them around the 28th June.

So it's you ****-ers that are stealing all our tax money

Submitted now & not selected for an audit or verification.

Anyone perhaps tell me where I really put the "4250" from my IT3(c) for capital gain/loss for the tax year?

I'm sure it should be under
1561363644903.png

but what 6xxx code?

Or do I just not add that, but fill in the amounts from my IT3(b) under investment income?

Hello, please help, filled in everything, but it cannot do the calc-error-cannot perform a calc based on the info-My question is i have received an IRP5 form Old Mutual for an income of 6633 source code 3920- My employer has a superannuation fund with them and i am still employed-also if i check the source code it indicates a benefit from lump sump payment???
