SARS E-Filing 2019 OPEN!

The entry blocks on this new layout are far too small, not sure if it's small screen size or what.

How do I sign over the "X's" above? When I highlight the Xs and press backspace, the webpage goes back to the home screen of your SARS account.

Anyway, I can't fill in just quite yet due to Sygnia not sending their forms yet.

Hmmm...so I'm expecting a refund. Pulled a SOA, it shows refund date 27/06, then refund reversal 27/06? Then still shows me the amount that they owe me??

I wasn't selected for an audit? This happen to anyone else?

I did my wife's a day later and hers shows 28/06 refund and amount R0 in closing balance.

Another special stopper , and details changed? Is bank account?

That will do it
on the first, take proof of address, and confirm of banking details into sars

Ah that is going to be a ball ache! Ah well. All I know is if I email anything to them, it takes 2 months for them to respond.

Do I not need to wait for a notification from them? Will they assist somebody actually being proactive?

Donations Tax question.

Received one in tax year. Completed IT144 and paid the tax, but I know I have to still declare it.

Not sure where though in return

Anyone submit today with no complaints from sars? I've done all the filling in, but don't want to be moaned at for doing it too early

You can submit. Submitted on Monday and already got my refund.

20k back to me....was genuinely surprised how slick the interface is... checked my SoA - money should be in by 1st July (hopefully).

It should be included in the ITR12 under "Amounts considered non-taxable" as per the guide: (item5.9) https://www.sars.gov.za/AllDocs/OpsDocs/Guides/IT-AE-36-G05 - Comprehensive Guide to the ITR12 Return for Individuals - External Guide.pdf

Hmmm. So part of the amount was exempt. So I guess that can go under "Amounts considered non-taxable".
And the the amount that was taxable will have to go under "Other Taxable Receipts".
This years return is not going to be easy :(

Hi Guys,
Withdraw provident fund when I changed jobs last year.
Received IRP5 from Liberty for this but it looks like the tax is being deducted from my rebate (did a calculation on efiling).
Need some advise/guidance from anyone who has been in a similar situation on how this needs to be submitted?

Home office expenses, depreciation and others are greyed out (not active), so i cannot fill in the amounts. What must I do?

I read everything again and again and I don't see anywhere that would have happened.
I chose yes for other deductions where it asked "Did you incur any expenditure that you wish to claims as a deduction that was not addressed by the previous questions". I have been claiming for 5 years. This is the first time I encounter this issue
