SARS E-Filing 2020/21

Important Info when uploading Supporting documents! Please can this be stickied if not already.

Of particular interest is the following point
"You can upload up to 20 files per session on eFiling today, without submitting the documents to SARS, and upload again tomorrow and then only submit when all your documents are uploaded. In other words, you can upload documents separately but don’t submit until you have uploaded all documents. However, once you click the submit button, you cannot submit additional documents, as the supporting document link will no longer be available after declaring that you have submitted all your supporting documents. A new link can only be open by the reissuing of another request for supporting documents, by the auditors or verifiers if they require more documents.

EDIT: Its possible that uploading from App and PC is causing some conflicts as submission is supposed to be done as one batch. Maybe only the second upload is counted/overwrites the first, and that could then be an insufficient submission of supporting documents

I accepted an auto assessment on the 1st of July and got back my money a few days later. Now Old mutual says this.
I'm too lazy to check my actual return but how the hack does a company as big as them mess up?
FWIW, Liberty has also ****ed my SO's Directive. Paid her a lump sum for which they issue an employee tax cert with a 3 days engagement/working period in August. No you f*****, it was a pension payout. Fun and games. SARS should penalize them for the admin messes.

All I know is that it felt like it wasn't until I used the mobile app to upload an additional document, did my submission seem to move. The documents I submitted via the web app were still there - only once I used the Mobi App did I get the SMS and letter confirming receipt of my stuff.

I received an automatic text this morning confirming what I already know. Refund withheld while they dilly dally lol.

Here's a webinar they did last week clarifying a few things about submissions and WFH deductions:

Or you can just merge the PDF documents, very simple. The above rule has not changed in at least the last 10 years, should not be news

I was selected for verification/audit of my 2017 return. I submitted the supporting documents and it shows that it was submitted, I however haven’t received any correspondence to acknowledge the documents. So there has been no movement since the 30th. Is it necessary to submit the documents again via the app?

I submiited mine a few days ago. Last year my medical aid tax certificate before. I had to load it myself this year and was prompted to provide supported docs. Now we wait :)

Just received a mail that I am being audited. Any chance anyone knows what this entails?
