Read your correspondence section. A list of things would be required to upload for you to be audited.
I already submitted the document requested on the 7th for my medical aid tax cert, showing the details I provided.
 
No literally a mail/sms went out now saying your refund is on hold due to us being audited. Literally just an info notification.

Ok, yours are in progress. I am on the dame page as you. All I am saying, check the corresponding section for requests, or info
 
Truly we are here to help, trust me! But dont complain about things.... as in getting audited. This or that doc etc.

You act now like someone living in a complex, power goes out, and you rather whatsapp and complain about power outage vs look at your DB board.
I am that person that checks the WhatsApp group or if the neighbor's lights are on :-)
But from now on when the electricity goes off I will message you here for help :-)

I was selected for verification/audit of my 2017 return. I submitted the supporting documents and it shows that it was submitted, I however haven’t received any correspondence to acknowledge the documents. So there has been no movement since the 30th. Is it necessary to submit the documents again via the app?

No need to submit again via the app, if it shows submitted on the Web version then it has been submitted

I was auto assessed, refund showed .. and boom. Selected for audit , first time
Audit for 2019/20 and 2020/21 Returns

correspondence letter don’t say much , it’s just a standard letter

but I submitted all the things that corresponds with that shows on returns .

submitted 30 June… in my case
ITR5 s 2019 and 2020
Medical aid certificates 2019 and 2020
Retirement annuity certificates 2019 and 2020

3 days later got finalized and completion letter. No changes

yesterday morning money was in my account .

so just submit the documents as proof of what shows in your returns that’s all.

I have done my return and been selected for audit.
I have all my documentation ready to upload, but still don't have a printed IRP 5 from my employer. My IRP 5 info was auto-populated onto efiling. Do I still need to try get my IRP 5 and upload for the audit?

I have my Medical Aid Certificate, My mileage logbook, my proof of address ( It changed).

IRP5 is the only outstanding document and I am worried if I submit what I have without it , there will be a delay in the audit. On the other hand, it is auto populated so do I need to still run around this week to try get a copy to upload? ( I am having technical issues on our employee intranet site where I can obtain it.)

Although the IRP5 is prepopulated SARS may still request it for verification.

Get the IRP5 in pdf from your employer and upload it. No need for a printed one.
